For 13,50 euros I brought:
- Batman #700 (oversized special)
- Batman & Robin #16 (last issue of the Morrison arc)
- Batman Inc (vol. 01) #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7.
- The Walking Dead #25, 43, 44, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 55, 56, 57, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 73, 74, 90.

EDIT - OMG, what have I found there?! I have a NM copy of Chew's 1st appearance?! Bought for 50 cents?!
Good scores. :thumb:
Great buys dude. Also maybe not worth loads but Batman & Robin #16 is a masterpiece, brings together all of Morrison's works from the previous few years into one excellent finale. Also contains possibly my favourite appearance of the Joker too.
QFT. I already have the TPBs for his run, but I always wanted to have this particular issue in single, mainly because of the symbolism it carries. It's the big showdown! I also LOVE the cover, with both Bruce and Dick as Bats.

Went back to the store today, grabbed (again, for 50 cents each) the entire Scott Snyder run on 'Tec (671-680), a couple more Batman #700 (I have one copy to keep, one to sell and one to hang on the wall! :D ), and 5 or 6 more Morrison issues from the Black Glove/R.I.P. era.

I personally prefer the floppies. One thing I don't like about trades (and digital books) is the lack of ads. Some of my favorite things about reading a Bronze or Silver Age book (or even some of my old Image/Valiant/etc from the 90s) is reading the funny ads. I know it sounds weird, but I like ads. I also watch the Superbowl mainly for the ads. I love commercials. I feel like Sandra Bullock from Demolition Man. Comes from being a child of the 80s I guess.

The only trades I have at all are some of the VH1 trades and the entire run of the 1st print HCs for Sandman. Those took quite a while and a lot of money to obtain several years ago. I own all 75 single issues as well. The Season of Mist HC is still the coolest book I've owned (inside and out).

Digital has replaced trades for me, but I still want the single issues as the time capsules they are. When I was reading through my old Valiants, I kept thinking "Man, I really wanted that video game!", or "That game sucked." That's lost both in trades and digital. Letters columns aren't in the trades either.

That's why I prefer binding my comics rather than the tpbs. I include the ads and letter columns for the reasons you pointed out. I know some fans who bind their comics without the ads and letter columns.

I've been buying some old-school Marvel stuff ... Adventure into Fear 10-18 (the Man-Thing books) and a full run of Amazing Adventures 1-25 (all the furry Beast books are in that run).

My local shop has a 25 cents bin so I've been at that a few times recently. Picked up some XO, Conan, Armorines and a bunch of random stuff.

This is only going to run to #100? That's too bad - if Furman & Wildman stayed on, I'd just keep on buying it...

It will be miracle if IDW doesn't cancel it before #100 due to declining sales.

Dark Horse Presents has been decent. The new Ghost and X stories were/are good, and the current Ghost series that has started up as a monthly seems like it could be ok. I'm still bigger on the original dual-volume run, though, and I pref the original DHP to the new one, but I won't complain as I think DHP is a "standard", on a level-for Dark Horse-with something like Action Comics or Spiderman, for DC/Marvel. It really is the flagship for them.
