Thanks! He just sounded like Jonesy (I think) when I listened to the podcast. BTW, Elveen keep up the good work on Only the Valiant, I am enjoying your discussions about the latest books. I just can't get enough of the new books or your podcast.Elveen wrote:et061502 wrote:This is a little off topic, but has been bugging me for a long time since the Long Beach panel interview. Re: Only The Valiant Podcast
Or you could include 2 minutes of the upcoming podcast at the end of the current episode. You could even include this 2 minute clip in related podcasts. I'd make it the Ask Chiclo segment or one of the long tangents you guys get into.Dr. Solar wrote:Maybe we'll post up a 5-page preview of the episode a week before it hits stands.greg wrote:Stop teasing and post it already.![]()

(Seriously, anyone else getting annoyed with the same 5 page preview appearing in every VEI book that is released? I know why they are doing it, but it gets really annoying; especially the same preview in 4 books. Having ranted about it, I have to add - how awesome does A&A #5 look?)

ep. 88 - thanks for not making fun of us Canadian OTV fans
Great stuff again, guys.
A couple of quick hit comments;
[SPOILER ALERT!]
Shadowman: Use of the amulet as a means to potentially block himself from becoming Shadowman is a cool idea.
Archer & Armstrong: re-reading A&A 1-4 alltogether
I did it, it was a much better read!
& a REALLY cool idea about the Monks blocking Archer's ability to tap the Akashic record, Chiclo!! [perhaps by tapping the same info at the same time?]
Bloodshot - on the bit about engineering electrical away from water... where I work [a big steel mill], there are always sections of old electrical conduit just destroyed from water leakage. There is water everywhere is some of the basements!! There is conduit near water piping all over the place. It may not be fantastic engineering, but sometimes it can't be avoided, and the older the place is, the more likely that later installations overlap simply because they have to go wherever space is available to get the wiring [or piping] in place.
So, depending on the age of the PRS base, it is quite possible for the nanites to hit up some wiring by flowing through old water piping.
Chainsaw - maybe nanites aren't in them, they're just odd looking older generation franken-cyborgs? Pre-cursors to the nanite tech?

Re: Only The Valiant Podcast
The bit about the drain pipe over the conduit is a bit like the tang in Ninjak's sword. It jumped out at me, like the tang (or lack thereof) jumped out at Chiclo, because it has to do with some technical knowledge we are very familiar with. It doesn't hurt the story though, and I really just chock it up to bending the rules for the sake of telling a good story.grendeljd wrote:Bloodshot - on the bit about engineering electrical away from water... where I work [a big steel mill], there are always sections of old electrical conduit just destroyed from water leakage. Too bad that France doesn't a fig about Quebec and Quebec hates the US to the point of booing their national anthem (truly shameful).MarkRoseHFX wrote:Agreed they could never go it alone. they'll be begging to France and/or the US in a hurry if they leave Canada.magnusr wrote: Last time it was scaringly close. The JUICE behind the JUICE.
The HEAT behind the HEAT.
The MAN.
Warren.
When we at OTV say "Warren", we know exactly who we are talking about. Warren Simons, the Executive Editor at Valiant.
Warren joined us to talk about the secret origins and the secret sauce that has gone in to the Valiant Universe.
We've been waiting to record this interview for almost a year and a half, and finally, it's here:
