I lost hundreds of Promo items in just one drawer of one filing cabinet alone amongst other gems, but there were several lovely promo sheets and some Solar ones too not seens anywhere else outside of my filing caninet back in '93/94.
Would be the best thing ever if i could get them back.
One of my friends was really loaded and always wanted these but im never let them go and it was a massive deal losing them all.
I trade as Dead Universe Comics in the UK, which is no surprise to those who know of my legendary Dead Universe habit.

Yeah, i nearly pooped myself when i saw it to be fair and as soo as i saw some bids i knew it ouwld be out of my reach.Daniel Jackson wrote:If it were not for Draco seeing the promo back in the day, I would be inclined to say it looks like a fan made piece, the more I look at it.
I couldnt afford close to $60 regardless of how much that old stuff meant to me.
Also i didnt have it stolen as such, but a real massive barney with the landlord and pretty much everything i owned got binned in a skip from my two lfiling cabinets full of promos and UK high grade Captain Britains to personal stuff like passport, birth certificate, photos, letters, school books, certificates.
You name it i lost it.
I have a big hit of it back now but the Valiant promos i had back then were special.
What i think stands out in my memory was a guy i knew had discussed it with me quite some time before they came out and i rec'd the promos well before the Previews solicitations.
I always recall this particular peice i found here as it was not the same design they went with and there were some black and white sheets too.
In total i think close to ten promo sheets from Black and white to glossy and cardstock too.
I will make an extra special effort to speak to some old school guys about their older storage items and hopefully turn some items up that im talking of.

Sounds like we need an all-England VALIANT-mafia (bullyboys?) beat-down on your old landlord!!!Draco wrote:Yeah, i nearly pooped myself when i saw it to be fair and as soo as i saw some bids i knew it ouwld be out of my reach.Daniel Jackson wrote:If it were not for Draco seeing the promo back in the day, I would be inclined to say it looks like a fan made piece, the more I look at it.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

No need to apologize. I'm glad it went to a board member. As much as I would like to personally own every single piece, I think it's more important that the unique Valiant items be preserved within the community and that everyone gets an opportunity to own some special items. magnusr and I agreed once, that the best thing that could happen to our collections if something should happen to us, is for our "treasures" to go another great collector like yourself to continue to be cherished and preserved.Rufusharley wrote:That was me that got it. Actually, what George said.
Have you gotten it yet? Can you make out the signature?

Here it is again:
The sig at the bottom right corner says 'gardner':
and nothing on the back:
It's the same size as a normal piece of paper (8.5x11) and the same thickness also. It's not 'poster' thickness.

Acclaim Shadowman baseball cap with adjustable buckle and snap closure. Embroidered with Shadow Man on front and Acclaim on back. The tag says HeadShots by KC Caps. Made in Bangladesh. RN#89449 (H&C Headwear Inc. based in Carson, CA). It looks great and it is in like-new condition. Does anyone have any info on this? May be it's a prototype or promo item?

Hi RQB. Yes, it's an item you've asked about multiple times. It may take a while since it's being shipped from the UK.Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:iggy101us wrote:I found a rare item in this thread. I will post pics when it arrives.
