I just built a new interactive web site to show off the art and sculpting of 1980s GI Joes. Check it out! So far I have posted 3D interactive photos of all of the 1982 characters and vehicles; as well as old school still photos of their packaging, blueprints, filecards, etc.

It's a labor of love.

Is it always on the overview pages? Where it loads dozens of spins at once?

I've noticed the same thing on Firefox on my work tower. It never seems to be an issue with Safari.

Yep. What if you didn't load the spins on the overview pages but kept them 2D preview images there with a link to their dedicated page with the 3D spin? It would help the page load a bit faster too.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to do just that. It's unfortunate because once they're all loaded (on a beefy computer) its a sight to see. But, I really need to build the site for usability first, and crashing browsers on the overview pages cannot stand.

The 1987 carded figures are now live at 3DJoes.com!

1987 introduced many memorable Joes that still play a big role in today's comics, cartoons, and feature films. New Joes for '87 include Chuckles, Falcon, Jinx, Outback, Tunnel Rat, and more.

There were also some sick new Cobras introduced in '87, including Croc Master, Techno-Viper, Big Boa, Crystal Ball.

Some old favorites were dusted off and given new threads, including Gung-Ho and Cobra Commander.

So, what are you waiting for? Go check em out! 22 new figures are ready, and many more to come: http://www.3djoes.com/1987-overview.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Battle Force 2000! Sgt Slaughter's Renegades! Cobra-La! All forty-one 1987 figures are now live @3DJoes

http://www.3djoes.com/1987-overview1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looking back at these (25 years later), my dislike of the Battle Force 2000 figures has actually subsided. There are some really nice molds and colors on those figures! I think it's just their vehicles that I dislike.

Blaster's removable face mask is brilliant. It makes me wish they did Blowtorch, Ripcord, and Mutt that way.

One side note: this is the first time I have EVER successfully gotten Golobulus to stand up on his tail.

The 1983 Vehicles are live! This was the year Cobra came alive with the unforgettable H.I.S.S. tank and the F.A.N.G. gyrocopter. The Joes rolled out in the Wolverine with Twin Cannons in tow. Ace flew overhead in the Skystriker. Wild Bill was ever ready in the Dragonly for an evac. The rest of the Joes were either inbound in an APC or back at the HQ Command Center monitoring Cobra's activities.

1983 was epic. There were real flying Gliders, PAC/RATs, Skimobiles, and the SNAKE Battle Armor. Check 'em out here:
