Does anyone know a website that tell the print runs of other non-Valiant comics? A friend and I were talking about WildC.A.T.S #1 and were wondering what the print run was.

So crazy to see that a title like Ghost Rider vol.1 was cancelled with an average print run of 117,000!!! Then again, at $0.75 an issue they were generating their margin of approximately $80,000 a month for that... and yet now Valiant is making their cut of approx. $180,000 in sales with a $4 cover price for selling only 45,000-ish copies of X-O #1...
I like to draw stuff... http://grendeljd.deviantart.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My wife likes to draw stuff too, and she is better than me! [I'm very proud of her]... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sara-Dec ... ref=stream" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you consider the cover prices and pretend it reflects inflation, then that $180,000 would have been $33,752 back then.

I don't think that actually means anything (I'm fairly sure Stat-man, Greg, will call me out :lol: ), but I just wanted to come up with some way of showing that the value of money is much lower than it was then. Or something... :?

Check the link I posted above or there is a thread that is tracking that, as well as the library on the main page. Greg keeps it updated.

Print runs are taken from the comichron.com (or similar website) data if it's not announced earlier. Normally, those are updated monthly around the 10th, give or take a few days.

Valiant announced a rounded number when they announced the sell out at the distributor level.
