I got a copy of Rebel Blood #1 off Ebay.

Signed too, by RILEY ROSSMO!

Is RebelBlood any good?

I picked a copy this weekend with Manhattan Project and some Fatales. Or is it another Image buzz book?

:?

Try it. I'm interested to hear people's thoughts. IMO, if you like Riley Rossmo's art, you'll like it. If not, you may not enjoy it or even understand the story.

One day, Rossmo is going to find the perfect Marvel book to be put on and he's going to be loved / hated like Bill Sienke....whatever.
I'm going to hit RebelBlood tonight. I have a habit of collecting different monthly runs till they hit a bunch of arcs and then I read them through. I still have to read Fables #1-12 from a decade ago. :D

I've kind of started doing that myself as well. Particularly if I know a book is ending, I'll just set them aside for later.

I've read the following:

Rachel Rising #1-5: A great read.

Kirby: Genesis-Captain Victory #1-3: A pretty good sci-fi action series.

Kirby: Genesis-Dragonsbane #1: A great start. The best art of any of Kirby: Genesis spin-offs.

Incorruptible vols 4 and 5 TPBs: A good story but the art is all over the place.

Irredeemable vol. 8 TPB: A good read but this story is starting to drag.

Indeed, and it only starts to really cook with the last couple issues of the 3rd. I still think Homelands is the story where I fell utterly in love with the series.

Just started reading the new Flex Mentallo hardcover that came out last week. After reading Super Gods recently this seems like it's going to be a great read, I've opnly read the introduction and first issue (I started it a little late last night). The introduction is an excellent humorous reimagining of history with Flex Mentallo being published through the golden age until now an aspect that plays well into the main story. Really looking forward to the rest of the series.

In town called Mason a woman named Rachel is murdered and buried in a shallow grave, somehow Rachel comes back to life and tries to solve her own murder. Her aunt's friend thinks she's an angel of death, only she is not the only murdered woman to come back to life! A horror/mystery (with some superhero-esque ideas thrown in) comic by Terry Moore. It's like reading a gripping HBO series. I will say this it seems all the men in this series seem to be jerks (and that is being nice).

Thanks for the plot summary! Sounds like something I might enjoy and I will try to look for a collected edition.

Captain America 1978 series - rushed - plot bouncing everywhere and everything ties up too neatly too quickly - surprisingly the 1978 Godzilla series is paced nicely - reads well and is quite enjoyable.

War Goddess #1-6 An OK-to-good series featuring updates on several of Avatar Press and other late 90s indie bad girls and femme fatale with tons of blood and gore. It's not great but not awful either, the story and art are both OK. If you're got a weak stomach, or if you're a prude then you're probably better off staying away from it because it has a LOT of graphic violence and some nudity and plenty of sexual content in it and while it hasn't had a graphic sex scene yet, I wonder how long it will be before one is done.

I guess on this one I am a prude. I gave it a shot for about 4 or 6 issues before I dropped it.

Went searching for Saga #2 last night and 2 shops were sold out of it. Sucks going to the shops on release day and they sell out of new books by 7pm. *grumble* I heard they got allocated or something.

But I got these in the mail today:

Heroes Anonymous #1-6 from Bongo. Took awhile to find a whole set of these.

Saga #2 and Saucer Country #2. Both were really, really good. This is a great time for creativity in comics. I'm hoping Valiant keeps that going.

Glad to hear that about about Saga, and that is my hope, as well. Have you tried The Deadwardians? It really is a great time for comics:

Fables, Chew, The Walking Dead, Saga, Deadwardians, Moriarty, Aquaman, GL books, JLA and Flash...then, soon...XO, Harbinger, Bloodshot, Archer & Armstrong.

I skipped over the Deadwardians. The art didn't do it for me and since it's an 8 issue mini, I figure I'll wait until I hear how good the whole thing is.

I can say the first issue was good, and it went by quickly-the pace, that is-but as for the art...I wasn't sure at first, but it has a chance of becoming special. This is the artist's first work, so...let's see. As of now, I don't mind it. It has a distinctive look. It's a little like Killian Plunkett's work on a few Aliens books for Dark Horse back in the 90's.

It's pretty cool, and really stylish. This gets more stylish points than it does story points, but I do like the style quite a bit.

Both of these are extremely AMAZING
Great Darkness Saga is ok, but after reading an issue or two, I don't feel compelled to read a lot more.

Invincible is pretty good, but it's not really floating my boat. I enjoy it when I read it, but I don't crave more when I'm done.

Saga #2. Wow. I love this series.

I rather liked Manhattan Projects #1. Pretty bizarre and strange.
