That is a hard issue to find in CGC 9.8 and they rarely come up for sale.

It is amazing all these hoarded Valiants coming out of boxes en masse, to include "the rare Valiants" that have been poping up all over Ebay.

Now if I could only get a few of you to stop buying a couple to add to your already 20-30 copies.

Can anyone please explain to me why, Solar's HC, Alpha and Omega, is on Ebay ($189) and Amazon ($90-$105) but the guide on this site has it listed at ($45)....is this hardcover really that rare, I've heard so many great things about Solar #1-10, and I wouldn't mind paying ($50) but some of these prices out here are just ridicalous

I paid about $50 for a sealed one 4-5 months ago on ebay.

$50 is decent, I feel like that's the max I'll pay, and it absolutely, still has to be shrinkwraped...

You probably are not going to get a completely undamaged shrinkwrapped on for $50, but if you are patient you will find an open one for 50.

My honest opinion is that you will have an easier time buying the original issues than the hardcover. There really arent all that many of the hardcover out there.

Nah, I wouldn't pay $50 for one that someone else owned already, I'm thinking more like, I'm already willing to pay $50, so if I'm lucky enough, I can talk a dealer down next month at HeroesCon, and find a happy medium between $50-$100, and that's if I even can find one. I'll be looking for the single issue's as well, I've already got a spot online to get those from if I don't find them all at HeroesCon, but I'm a collecter (since 12) and the rarity of this Hc, and my new found love for all things Valiant, is what has me excited about the hunt to find one, I'm not rushing though, I have plenty to read in the meantime.

I just picked one up for $23.98 on Amazon. Not in shrinkwrap, but I still think that's a good buy. We'll see what it looks like when it arrives.

And just to clarify my previous statement, I was referring to the ".5 Wolverine Limited Series 1" slab. I still maintain that's a POS, IMNSHO.

OTOH, a CGC'd .5 copy of FF #1? ANYone should be proud to have that in their collection .

I do have to agree. Low-grade copies of super-key books are still examples of super-key books. No comparison to low-grades of Copper and Modern Age books that pretty much anyone can acquire.

Even folks that own single wraps from Action Comics 1 or Detective 27 that they sent into CGC (individual comic pages) are extremely lucky. Example below.

I would agree were it not for that fourth colour-breaking stress line in the lower right corner. eBay FN+ at best.
