Big +1. There is something about the style I don't like 100%, but the image captures the feel of Archer and Armstrong perfectly.Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:lol at A&A

Re: Valiant covers for September 2012
It's really going to take some time for me to like the photo-realistic style they are using on Harbinger and much, much moreso on A&A. It's not quite photo-traced, but the line work and colors are much too photo-realistic. What's concerning is that this style is never successful in comics. I'm not sure why they've gone this route, but it will give potential buyers pause for sure.

That A&A cover is great. Also looks like the first look at quite a few Harbingers on that cover. I can pick out Torque, Flamingo and Zephyr.

Great covers! I think I like the Harbinger one the best.

The coloring seems odd on the A&A cover. Looks like they got carried away with using too much red for the skin tones.

Did you come up with that on your own? I posted that on another board yesterday. That's awesome if you also saw it independently.Blood of Heroes wrote:Bobby from King of the Hill is in there too.BugsySig wrote:That A&A cover is great. (Also, the guy in the glasses is young Jerry Seinfeld.)

The Harbinger cover looks great! I really hope the art inside the issues grows on me. The story in issue one was very good, but the art isn't my style though.

Yes, I came up with that on my own. It's because that looks exactly like Bobby Hill.greg wrote:Did you come up with that on your own? I posted that on another board yesterday. Let's compare notes, I want to see if I see what you see. I'll do it like row:column.BugsySig wrote:That A&A cover is great. Also looks like the first look at quite a few Harbingers on that cover. I can pick out Torque, Flamingo and Zephyr.
Zephyr - 2:1
Flamingo - 4:1
Torque - 4:3
Is that what you think?

See I kinda thought Torque might be 2:3. Just without the long hair. He has that *SQUEE* off at the world look.etos45 wrote:Let's compare notes, I want to see if I see what you see. Yeah it's definitely challenging the status quo. Maybe Greg Land is the next exclusive400yrs wrote:It's really going to take some time for me to like the photo-realistic style they are using on Harbinger and much, much moreso on A&A.
