Wait till you see the costume, I literally flipped. It's better than the original Quesada one, it's so cool.

Would love it if they would just start over with the character altogether and ditch the Colin King thing. I know that's probably too much to ask though.

Have to agree about the purple. I was kind of hoping that if Ninjak ever returned they would get rid of the purple. Guess not! Never was a fan of the title, though it does seem that he is just going to be making an appearance in XO. Now that I see this teaser I'm going to guess that Eternal Warrior will also NOT get his own titles this year and rather will appear in "winter 2012" ... officially. I remember way back that Dinesh or someone told us that there would only be 4 titles in 2012. I think they will stick to that.

The costume is awesome, you will like it, very modern design, still pays homage to the original but in a very suddle way. The art you are seeing is a tease. The covers are fantastic. (can't say more, really want to, but it's Valiant's to reveal).

never was a fan of Ninjak, my hope is that there is no "superhero" costume because super-ninja spy/assassin can work.

In this day and age of Post 9/11 you'd have to imagine that the intelligence agencies would be the first and main aggressors to pull out all the stops at containing XO. Sending their top operatives would make sense.

Honestly, I think you will all be happy with the costume. It is very modern and sharp but has elements that make it unmistakably Ninjak.

I think that stores who just order based on previous sales and do not up-order for special events will severely under-order that issue, because of how cool it is. I have made no comments at ALL about any incentive programs and whether there even are any.

Well, the covers for this book will be great, but also it features a really cool new character and with Valiant's PR dept putting out teasers and all kinds of info out there, it will be anticipated.

The teaser image that was sent out to comic press is great for several reasons. It teases issue #5, it creates buzz for Ninjak, and it also creates buzz for issues of XO and Harbinger on the shelf. People will pick those up on their next trip to the shop because they want to know what the whole thing is about.

Unlike Marvel & DC, who promote their books before they are ordered to make retailers order more, and then move on to promoting other things when those books ship (Spider-men #1 was promoted like CRAZY 2 months ago. It ships tomorrow, have you heard anything anywhere about it? NO), Valiant continues to create buzz for existing books on retailers shelves, because they understand that it creates demand and support.
