I thinks they have to be chromium covers.IanAlexavier wrote:I suggest the next book to receive this process be a different gold book. Lets start making other Plat variants Even if it WASNT a printing error or small run it can still be a variant just like whats been created here before.
A&A Plat anyone?

Wasn't there an Eternal Warrior earlier this year where someone used a gold sharpie to pass as a Gold Version? When there's a sucker - they will buy it.caniac wrote:I thinks they have to be chromium covers.IanAlexavier wrote:I suggest the next book to receive this process be a different gold book. You know, not that I would in any way advocate doing this, but I wonder if you took a gold sharpie, colored in an Eternal Warrior to make it look gold, included it in the description (NM copy, except colored to look gold with a gold sharpie), but then put it for sale with a low ($5?) BIN, if some idiot would jump over it without reading the description.
Knowing me, that idiot could be me!

I believe that it must be a "chromium" book for this process to work. Even if not... what you suggest is sacrilegious! Blasphemy! Off with your head!IanAlexavier wrote:I suggest the next book to receive this process be a different gold book. Everyone knows it's against the law to desecrate pre-Unity books by alteration. Alterations are reserved for 100,000 print runs issues post Unity and pure Desecration is reserved only for post-Acclaim Valiants.
Look it up. Imperial Code 14.871337.9-b Revision effective 3004AD North Am Prefect Mandate 14-72.
It's not that I don't have an avatar... I've just been working on it for the last few hundred years.

Could make a gold or platinum from a chromium book that did not have a gold or platinum variant - like Geomancer.

You're gonna want a light table and some fresh exacto blades. and might I suggest the black chrome on Shadowman 25, as the 25 issues recieved no love from valiant as far as premium printing.

Wasn't someone supposed to be trying this out to see if it worked? Did it ever happen?
