Major DC character comes out of the closet?

That would be crushing.
Even though he is married and has kids?

DC lost me with the re-launch. Many of you are older and remember "older" characters like Barry Allen and probably appreciate him being back. Bringing back characters like him and convoluting DC history just has me reading back issues prior to the whole new mess.

Finally, I thought the introduction of Batwoman took care of catering to the gay demographic.
He was once married and had kids. Superman was married before the relaunch, as was Barry Allen (he's now with someone else).

Did they kill the twins in flashpoint?

Not kill but none of the West's have been seen since the new universe was created.

The universe was created from the mind of Barry Allen... but he couldn't remember his own nephew or his family...

I can't shake the feeling that it is going to be one of the big JSA guys - Alan Scott or Jay Garrick. And they already showed Jay's college girlfriend break up with him.

Could it be "Icon", the Milestone character? They keep using that word, maybe it has a double meaning?

Hasn't been introduced yet in the New 52.
Is a DC "Icon".
Has been shown a lot recently on Young Justice.

Speaking of closets, I hope the next DC stunt involves pushing JMS back into a closet so he doesn't write any more Superman & Wonder Woman stories.

I gotta say, I don't miss him being gone from Spider-Man. However, I wish he would have taken Joe Q. with him.

Thanks. Good dedication by you guys for keeping up with the DCU. All of these changes have me convinced to stay in the back issue market for DC.

If it is Alan or Jay, I might just stop reading DC and not because they are now gay, but because those characters are defined in very large part by the sort of family they have. Wildcat, Doc Midnight...those I could live with. Ted Knight? I feel the same way about him that I do about Alan and Jay. Of course, they could have OBSIDIAN be gay.

Longtime comic readers will remember that Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, didn't have the color yellow as a weakness: he was powerless against wood.

The article mentioned an Archie character came out gay too... who was that?

I don't even know who Alan Scott is, so I guess that's... interesting? :?

The golden age Green Lantern. He was a member of the Justice Society of America. I quit reading last fall when they did the relaunch. Not sure what his story is now.

His story is just unfolding. His first new appearance was last month in Earth 2 #1.

The wife and I had pretty much settled on Allen Scott for a firstbourne boy's name. We are reconsidering.
