ROFL
ROFL,
I'd be a fool not to listen to you. I mean big companies don't get so much from a focus group!
You'll be happy to know all (unless I missed one) Comic auctions are now revised. Instead of putting in the Armorines comic in another lot, I relised it, at .99 cents. .99 cent auctions are tough, as they don't make money, but fair is fair.
Through all the smoke and mirrors, our main priority is to put these into fans hands. I would never burn art (more specifically, I would not allow Kristy do it), that much was BS. Maybe the litterpan... (AGAIN A JOKE)

Re: ROFL
That book, honestly, I wouldn't list alone. I'd just throw it in as a freebie for a purchase. Paying money to list it just doesn't make sense to me. I guess there is a chance that someone will buy it, but the chance is small and not worth the $.99 in my opinion. If you are running a bunch of comic lots (I don't know cause I can't stand to look at the story you use anymore) it may sell, maybe, possibly, but I doubt it.Seeth wrote:ROFL,

Re: I'm sorry did you say something?
No..it's a 25 cent book. Trust me on this. It doesn't get much more overproduced than Armorines #1 (and yes, that's hyperbole, and yes, there are lots of 'more overproduced' Valiants out there, but it's just an example.Seeth wrote:Read last post, once the listing ends, it will go in the other 2 lots I have for Valiant. No one seems to have *SKREE* abut those...yet.
I keep things in the store for months, the fees are low. They had a massive listing sale, so I converted my store to fixed price listing. I doubt the impulse buyer is there. I just hate wasting the listing fee.
If I am correct in my reading of the price guide, this book is not .25, but a whole Buck! I was lowballed.

You weren't 'lowballed', the offer was a joke.
This much is true...you don't get it. The point, therefore, is this:You lump the whole total, then tell me you are not concerned with my shipping. I don't get it.
The total cost of this item, barring other purchases for the sake of the argument, is $14.49. One cannot buy your item for LESS than $14.49, unless YOU accept a lower offer. Your S&H price is reasonable as far as S&H prices go. It's very much within the realm of 'average'.
The problem, however, is not your S&H, but the aggregate cost of this item at the end of the day. This book is not worth $14.49. It's not worth $9.99. It's not worth $4.50.
It's worth about 25 cents.
And no one reading this will reasonably dispute.
Ok, just for the sake of the argument, let's call it '50 cents'.
So, as with many, many auctions like this, the bare minimum...the absolute CHEAPEST one could buy this item for on eBay, going by your S&H charge, is $4.51.
Why would anyone pay $4.51 for a 25 cent book?
Your S&H is not unreasonable.
It's that the cost to ship ALONE, final price regardless, makes this book cost about 9 times its worth before anyone even looks at it (using the 50 cents argument.)
For this book to be 'worth it', you'd have to include it with an item that has a BASE VALUE of $4.50 or more.
Lots and lots and lots of people on eBay try to sell things for 1 cent, 5 cents, 99 cents....and then tack on the S&H as if that somehow 'doesn't count.' The bottom line TOTAL is all that truly matters.
It's not as if you can say 'well, sure, the whole thing COST $14.49, but only $9.99 actually left my pocket!'
No....don't make the silly seller mistake of assuming that the final bid is what the buyer paid (and yes, it's very silly, and yes, I've gotten THAT particular gem of an 'argument' many times.)
No, see, that's what we call 'sarcasm'. Perhaps my lack of aWait till I get to know these guys? Does that mean you hate them?

Good luck trying to get away from me on these boards. That 'ignore' function is mighty handy, too. It was even put in place at my <aggravatingly persistent> request!I have been invited to stick around, have even been given a homework assignment (I have not forgot).
I honestly have gotton bored with you, so I can't wait to see the other areas here.

Why, I'm ZWH.I mean just who are you, and why should I care? You are just a guy on the Interweb.
Yes, that's exactly what I was. However did you know? In fact, I even won Hall Monitor of the Year in college 7 times in a row.If I were you, I would think the same as me. Were you a hall monitor in school? Perhaps the AV guy?
I wish you peace, and happiness.
Seeth Ransom
I've got the paper maché ribbons to prove it.
If you're a decent person, you'll grow to like me in spite of yourself...I grow on people....like fungus. At the very least, you'll grow to tolerate me, and even those who can't stand me (and you and I both know who you are) generally check in to see what I have to say.
Oh, did I tell you that lack of ego has never been a problem of mine?
If you're not a decent person....well, you won't last long here.

I changed the whole deal
hey,
Nah, Story is gone! As I said not my idea.
I bought heavy craft paper at Staples. That and cardboard, should be safe for 1st class. This saves the buyer money overall, as Zeph was talking about. 1st class never mingles with anything over 13oz.
I forget the customer has the overhead of shipping, as I don't keep it. That goes right back out. If there are a few cents left over, I consider it helping to keep quality materials on hand.
Perhaps I will get some offers on some of the lots. Armorines is a test, what the hey. Price guide says a buck, unless I read it wrong. I appreciate the tip, but a guide is a guide.
As I said, I did my best to take the "gentle" (like A Clockwork Orange scene) commets so as not alienate anyone who might see these, and our other comic books.

Now what did I say? I will take your suggestions, but it is my call after all. I hear what you all say, it's a .25cent book. You guys only offered me up to .07cents. For that, my trust isn't 100%. Yes, I know the shipping made it $4.57...I'm not wasting my time trying to fill you in anymore, dude

LOL!
This guy needs help! New Sellers often think that their stuff is gold!
His worst punishment will be the fee it cost to list. That and the fact this will never sell!
I feel better now...

Rai 1, 9.8 is about a $55 book
Magnus 1, 9.8 is about a $100 book
Magnus 5, 9.8 is about a $100 book
Solar 1, 9.8 is about a $75 book
X-0 0 gold, 9.8 is about an $80 book
X-0 0, 9.9 PGX

Total is about $475

It's not an unreasonable price, considering the above prices (except for the PGX X-0) are this year's average prices for CGC'd 9.8 VALIANTS.
He might have a better chance selling, by breaking up the lot. Of course his price could be a lower.
