Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?
No already have one. Paid more I think, but no need for another.
Did win 250 2000 ad comics for £6.30
Yes you did read it right 250 of them, most in order from 620 850 with a few extra and a few missing on the run but for £6.30 I am not complaining.
Their is a ggod deal on at the moment £750 for the entire run of judge dread 1 to 1780 or what ever the current issue is. If I had the money I would pop that. The early issues look mega sweet condition. If you sold issue 1 and 2 for £100 each you have 1780 run for £550

Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?
I won an auction a couple weeks ago for 47 copies of the same book on eBay for 52.00 including shipping. The day after they arrived, I sold them all for almost 250.00 on eBay.

very nice turrn and burn

Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?
Sorry, I didn't see your question until now. I went back and looked, and I actually picked up 52 copies for 47.00. It was the 1988 reprint of Action Comics 1. The listing said they were still in pristine condition, having sat on a shelf in a drug store all these years, and when I saw them I believe it. I could've sold them slowly over time for a lot more, but decided to do a quick turn on them.400yrs wrote:StarBrand wrote:I won an auction a couple weeks ago for 47 copies of the same book on eBay for 52.00 including shipping. Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?
A number of decent deals over the last few months...x-o 1/2 gold for $2, I bought the timewalker book linked above, several df signed books for $3 a piece (including some acclaim books), acclaim voyeur for $5, a number of various newsstand valiant/image for $2 a piece, I bought the variant hulk 377 for $20 shipped...these were all separate deals, despite the craziness of some valiants, there's still lots of good deals out there, for example check these out:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPER-MARIO-BRO ... 3a72b45dcd" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This book above was initially listed for $149!
and check this out:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPER-MARIO-BRO ... 3cc483047b" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Whomever bought those books got screaming deals.

Scored a Knights on Broadway poster I didn't know existed. It's about 12x24 in size:
