One of my faves, to be fair, I love a lot of Glenn Fabry's work.

Good call drift ... really like that one. Reminds me of my early collecting days as well - probably has something to do with it.Drift wrote:

I've never read a Nexus comic. This really makes me want to give it a try. The first issue seems pricey, though.myron wrote:even though rude is kind of a knob, I dig his work

It's the last good Transformers series Simon Furman has written.MarrowMan wrote:was a shame it only ran 12 issues.Cyberstrike wrote:

While IDW is bringing back the orginal Marvel series tomorrow, with The Transformers: Regeneration One #80.5 it's supposed to pick up 20 years after the events #80. According to writer Simon Furman he won't do a continuation of The Transformers: Generation 2 because he considers it "too dark and too 90s" (although he said he'll throw G2 fans something), so he's going to throw it out of the window and right under the bus. Plus Furman has already stated that this new series to be an alternate timeline to Marvel US/UK series. Andy Wildman, the penciler, has said that it will only last until #100, so basically either it's a 20 issue maxi-series, or #100 will be his final issue or both. The previews I've seen for #80.5 and #81 the dialogue is awful and over-the-top. While I'm a HUGE fan of Andy Wildman and Stephen Baskerville run back in the 80s, their artwork now looks weird and not in a good way.
Frankly my advice is: read The Transformers: Robots in Disguise and/or The Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye vol. 2 they are both FAR better than any Transformers comic written by Furman in 20 years.
