PRE-SALE : 10 sets of X-O Manowar #1 (all 4 covers)

Yeah. I might do it at $20, but I'm likely to find the 1:20 variant for $15 in shops anyway. The 1:50, ain't no way I'm finding it in shops around me.

That's kind of what it works out to. $15 plus $4x2 plus $2 for shipping (all averaged out of course, not exactly per issue like that).

So, everyone has pretty much paid for their sets. Which leaves me with a dilemma. I want to help the rest of you out, but that would mean ordering more books.

I had two major reasons for putting up those sets.

1. To help everyone here who wants to get those sets.
2. To help me pay for the cost of the books I ordered, a VERY sizable order of 500 copies of the regular book.

Those sets help offset the cost, but they are nowhere near covering the cost. But at least I hope to sell the books and make my money. For me to offer more sets, I have to order more books. There are 7 people already on the waiting list, which means I can probably sell 10 sets easily. So I need to order another 500 books. Well, the problem is that now I have double books to sell. After the first 200 or so, the rest are kind of irrelevant. I can't sell an unlimited number of books. Which means I eat the difference between my cost of books and what I get for the variants. That does not work.

I could increase the price of the Variant sets, but i am not sure how much more I can do, and adding another $10 won't get my books covered. The only thing that will is moving some extra copies of the regular books. So the question is, how many would be interested in packs of 10 regular comics, for around $30 plus shipping? If I could sell a bunch of these I could up my order and get more variants. I could even let anyone who orders a pack of 10, then add a set of 4 Covers for $50 (it also gives me a bit more money, as I am not including shipping in the $50 sale)

If I hear enough demand I will start another thread explaining all the options.

This is neat. Me too, unless the 10 books increase the cost for international shipping unreasonably much. Sometimes it feels like different post offices give very different shipping quotes.

Honestly, I didn't think you were covering much with the $50 shipped for 4 books. Was wondering how you'd manage. $25 for the 1:50 is way too little to cover.

Did you ever decide if you were doing this? Even if you are not, I will help out and buy 10 copies from you to ship with the "all four covers" I ordered from you. And would go another $50 for another set of the variants if you do increase the order. Let me know, will take 10 of the regular in any case.

Thanks, Darryl. If I decide to do another set of 50 covers, I am probably going to tie in a requirement for a 10 pack of regular covers. That's the only way I see this doable.

On the other hand, I am trying to help a lot of members, so I am going to see how many members who have not paid for a set of 4 covers want to do so by signing up for a set of 4+ a 10pack. Then, if there are no other takers, I will let those who already purchased a set of 4 add more. I think that's the fairest way to do so. I probably need to start a whole new thread and close this one.

Hey Magnus. I am leaning towards offering a 10pack as a requirement for ordering another set of 4 covers. It will be available first to those who have not paid for a set in the first batch. Shipping is exactly what it costs me, if you pm me an address I will get you a shipping quote and you can decide.

The goal was not to cover everything, it was to offer a great deal, specially after hearing about the prices some stores were charging. My price was based on competitive prices I saw from a few reputable sites.

Like I said above, I am looking at possibly offering another 10 sets but with a caveat that the person buys a 10pack of regular covers. Which reg. covers, does not matter to me, you can pick just pullbox, no pullbox, or half and half

To all who bought a set of 4 covers, and who are interested in one, I have some good news that will be coming shortly. And in a way, with the help of Valiant, it will be a much cooler deal because of the interest that has been shown on this site. Once everything is ironed out, I will do a new thread, and will contact everyone in this thread to point them.

Graham, this deal is no longer valid. There is a link above your post to the deal that we are doing right now. It's a bit more complex but it's the only thing that is done by us right now. Even on that, I am waiting for payments to process, there may or may not be anymore spots available.
