I know that Peter David had a somewhat popular run on Aquaman. So, not only could he make DC characters interesting, he made an interesting Aquaman story. That is quite a feat.

I actually just got to his first appearance. He's got some an interesting character design. His powers seem a bit ambiguous (or all-powerful?) and he's an enigmatic figure ... for now.

He wrote the novelization of Transformers: Dark of the Moon and he's got a new e-novel called The Camelot Papers coming out from Crazy 8 Press a new publishing company that he's a part of.

the Dark Key books have gotten me frequenting comic shops for the first time in a decade. Losing them will be tough, but i am determined to stay in the shops. Just started reading Incorruptible, Irredeemable, Rocketeer, and the Red Skull Incarnate mini that just came out today. Hopefully these titles will get me through to 2012, and the relaunch!

Cool. I'll look out for some of that. My favorite comics work from him remains his early Aquaman stuff, from Time and Tide until about 2 years or so into the regular run.

Chew # 19. It may not be the deepest book on the market, but overall, and mainly because of the pure joy of the thing, it's the book I most look forward to every month. Easily one of the top 3 books on the market.

How is Incorruptable and Irredeemable? Been thinking about picking up the trades.

I really like them both. Some people i talk to are frustrated with them because the plot has moved along at a pretty slow pace. I don't mind waiting for a payoff of a good storyline, so it is right up my alley. It would be hard for me to recommend one over the other--they are two sides to the same coin. I don't really care for the art in some of the issues, but i am a "story" guy, and i am intrigued by the concepts.

That reinforces my desire to purchase the trades, I also am more into the story as long as the art is acceptable.

X-Factor 102-131

This was a real volatile time for the team.

The members went from

Havok, Polaris, Wolfsbane, Quicksilver, Strong Guy and Multiple Man, (although he died in 100) to

Polaris, Forge, Wildchild, Sabretooth, Mystique and Shard.

The story elements went through a lot of transitions but have finally settled upon a real conspiracy-laden book where there's no trust and everything is suspect. The Peter David run preceding this was excellent .... the transitional period was near-directionless and kind of boring but this new spin on the title is fun ... and Matsuda's art is incredibly dynamic and cool-looking!

Just read Captain America #1 and The Red Wing #1. I enjoyed them both. Cap was very well written and caught my interest. Red Wind is a very interesting story about time travel warfare. Both top notch.

Also, I know I have said that I am against all of these renumberings, but I was in my LCS today staring at Cap #1 and just had to buy it. I really couldn't stop myself and got really excited. I am said to say that these *SQUEE* reboots definitely work.

I just read War of Green Lanterns pt. 10 as well, and I do agree with you, XO

Return of Swamp Thing issue #1 has been out for a few weeks now, but I wouldn't hold your breath (or spend 2.99)...lol.
