Firearm #0 Ultraverse
I have a Firearm #0 with video still in it's original package. Mine came with a signature from the director Darren Doane 502/1000. Is this how all of them came? I really haven't looked at this since the early 90s and just wanted to see if anyone had some info. It's my guess that this was a production of only 1000 for this book, which makes it pretty rare (and yes the video was kind of lame). Respond with anything you know about the book. Oh, and don't forget the courtesy flush...

I can't remember the exact numbers on the run, but I think it was around 15,000. And most of those did not come signed and numbered.
They sell on ebay for a few bucks to around $15 for a really nice looking one. And sometimes they don't sell at all.
Several guys here on the boards have the signed ones. I don't but I have one in the package and one out. And yeah, the movie was kinda lame, but at least they were making the effort to try something different.

I did the same thing kept one in the package and one out to see the movie and read the book. But, yeah, at least they tried something new. That company had so much potential before it got sold off to Marvel. I hope we see a resurgence of some of the characters. I heard that Prime may get a movie. It was on superherohype.com awhile ago.
I think BWS's work on Rune is some of his best to date. And while he is no Jim Lee, I really enjoy what he is able to accomplish in a minimalist approach. As for Breyfogle, he does have a cartoonish effect sometimes, but I guess I'm partial to him because he also did the huge run in Batman and Detective comics. His work on Scarface and the Ventriloquist and the mud pack issues really went well with the storylines.
It would have been nice to see someone like Jim Lee on The Strangers, Jae Lee do the Sludge storyline or perhaps Mike Zeck on Prime. Maybe someday. Jim Aparo was always a favorite of mine as well.
