I've been playing the heck out of Bubble Bobble but I can't get past level 63. I know what I'm supposed to do, I just can't do it. Never have been very good at video games. :!:

The problem I have with "open" adventures like that is that I am very, very, very bad with directions. Anyone who knows me knows that I have less than zero sense of direction. It runs on my mom's side of the family and two of us have it bad.

I just have to think that I'd get "lost" frequently in that game. I play more linear games because of this and I think Assassin's Creed would just be too aggravating for me.

I think that's why I didn't have a problem with Batman Arkham Asylum. Because I could see a distinct delineation of North, South, East, and West. :?
Do NOT buy that game... if you want to play it, PM with your address (I know, AGAIN) and you can have my copy. I played it for a while and pretty much had a decent time but then Assassins Creed II came out and I dropped the first one. I do not have any intentions of playing it any longer so I will send it to you if you would like to play it.

You know I try and hook you up with games, my brutha !!!

Thanks Chris, my brutha. Right now, let's put it on hold. I'm a more linear guy and I'd hate to have it end up on the shelf. Though you did mention you had the tour book. :hm:

For all you retro gamers, if ever there was a reason to buy an iPad, this would be it.

Ohhhh yea. Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Defender, Gorf, etc. I still love me some original DK, but I'm not sure if this would work for games like Robotron, Centipede or Tempest. :?

A 'tour book' ? I don't recall that... ???

I just won an auction for Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters (Xbox 360) for $12.50 shipped. Lets see just how long it takes to get here, if it is the right one etc. If this all pans out, this will be an EXCELLENT deal and I have heard that this game is pretty good and is reflected in the still fairly high GameStop pre-owned prices.

We will see.

Last night, I played Thor (Xbox 360) and kept getting frustrated... grrrr uh, "No... have at THEE, mother f@cker !!" I hope to get past this silly level SOMEtime today and maybe even playing a bit more of Captain America (Xbox 360).

I can't even bring myself to use my PS3 for other than Netflicks and as my blu-ray player.

The PS3 is also good for playing games in 3D! Haven't played many in 3D yet but MK9 is nice in 3D!!!!

I finally picked up Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on the cheap. Blockbuster had it for $19.99 used and I am LOVING this game so far. It's the best of the series so far.

Picked up Terraria on Steam for £3. Win. Great fun game which is suprisingly deep (pun intended). Well worth picking up and a great multiplayer game.

Also been playing Tropico 3 pretty heavily, 4 is out shortly and getting back into this has tempted me to pick up the new one! It's all about a good mix of fascist capitalism

Your mention of capitalism leads to me saying that I am playing Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection on my PSP. Yes I have the PSX version and yes I have the DS version but I saw the PSP version for a reasonable price and as I am on a PSP binge right now I picked it up. I cannot help myself when it comes to Squenix or Koei games.

The package contains FF IV, FF IV: The After Years and a short interlude game that bridges the two as well as two versions of the soundtrack - the original and a reworked version - and a music player so that you can listen to the music while you are doing the dishes or making a sammich or something.

I am just past the halfway point in FF IV right now and it is pretty much just the same as the PSX version which was the same as the SNES version with a prettier colour package. This is further than I have gotten on previous attempts so I am pretty pleased with it.

The DS version features completely reworked graphics with voiceover and a map that awards you special items when you fully explore an area in a similar fashion to the Star Ocean series. Even though it is graphically superior, I found something lacking so dropped it after fighting Scarmiglione I. I might pick it up again when I get round to a DS binge later on.

I just picked up a 4 gig memory card for my PSP, now I can put the free PSP games the playstation offered up as a lame way to say "we suck and your accounts got hacked". I have Modnation Racers and some Killzone Helgast FPS to diddle around with and some 'mini' called "Young Thor" that was not made by Marvel and is actually pretty good. So... Uh, yeah I get to dust off my PSP. (actually it is a pretty nifty gaming device that is a bit ahead of it's time and under-appreciated-by me at least-as a portable gaming system). If I didn't have such a bitter taste in my mouth over the Playstation I might seriously consider their new 'gaming phone'. I'll wait for Xbox to blow that market out of the water before I buy a gaming phone though. I can just imagine working on my gamerscore while not at home with my *SQUEE* parked in front of my Xbox 360 now !!!

Just started Assassin's Creed II a few days ago. I love the improvements and additions on the first installment. Very funny part a couple of hours into the game where Ezio meets his uncle for the first time. The uncle says, "Don't you recognize me? It's a me....Mario". Wasn't expecting that....had to laugh.

The misleadingly titled Lego Star Wars, Complete Collection which consists of Lego Star Wars 1 & 2. The title was correct until they released Lego Star Wars III the Clone Wars. Pretty much standard fare from the Lego series. Fun but not too taxing. Great for killing time (and storm troopers).

I love the humor they put into the SW Lego games, makes them very fun to play. Lego Indiana Jones is fun to play as well.

I'm way behind on my gaming. I was so wrapped up in Black Ops for a looooong time. I am playing through Assassin's Creed Brotherhood right now. About 80% of the way through?

On my to do list:

Go back and finish Borderlands
Skyrim?
Modern Warfare 3

Have you tried the multi-player? I usually hold off on those unless I am a hardcore fan of the proven multiplayer but I was bored one day and tried it - it is pretty fun. I haven't quite got the hang of it but I'm level 10 or 12?

I've finished the main storyline for the most part in the game and now just going back and doing the rest of the bits. Still only at 58% of the acheivements so I have plenty to do.

Playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution on my 360. The original game on PC is one of my all-time favorite games, although the sequels weren't nearly as good. But this one ... sweeeeeeeeet!

Had a few minutes last night so I popped Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters into my Xbox 360 and ya know what ? It is a pretty damn GOOD game for $12.00 including shipping from Hong Kong, China !!!

Really good graphics (stomps the $hit out of that Sega Captain America game) and good gameplay.

More on this after I knock out some college algebra...

Cyberpunk sci-fi theme, several different ways to play depending on how you customize your character (you can beat the entire game without killing anyone, or just bulldoze through guns a'blazing), a ton of side missions, big main storyline, and it fully recaptures the spirit of the original. I'll be playing this one for a while.

I really haven't dived into the Multi-player yet but been playing Legacy on Facebook to train my Assassins.

Still on a retro-gaming kick. I've put Mario World and Star Fox aside in order to concentrate on Act Raiser, Super Metroid and Secret of Mana. I finally hooked a friend of mine into trying out SOM and she was instantly "wow, they used to make really great games. This is FUN." It warms this old gamer's heart to hear such words. ActRaiser is finished up through Tanzra and Super Metroid? I'm doing a slow run, rather than a speed one. It's been a while, so why not? Enjoy it while I still have the time, right?

I might be missing something but I think I have pretty much topped out on Project Legacy. All my assassins completed and there are not more memories for me to finish now. I just keep leveling ... slowly. At 60 or so I think.

I'm only at level 12 or so multiple player but I am an achievement *SQUEE* so I will prob try to hit 50 for the points.
