Perviously I have brought another specail edition cheap, aswell as magnus preditor trade for cover.

I did flip these ~ not for profit but to pay for books / postage to USA a project that has yet to be released ~ and the shadowman masks.

Kind of like reinvesting profits for further gain. Will wait and see with this one, as the shipping of the masks to USA is going to be a killer.

But chears guys ~ I thought it was an awsome score

Spine damage in the post.

Sent in a large paper envolope, not comic plastic sleave, no cardboard backing. Wrapped arround a lager package.

But the condition is no effected by the damaged postage, it had spine creases all up the spine

Must have 8 ~10 spine crease marks where white shows through ~ about 4/5 caused by postage to me.

Cannot wait to sell this as NM on ebay

Thanks to both Dr. Solar and my buddy Jacques, I am a proud owner of a full set of the DC/Flashpoint "Wayne Casino" poker chips

All 6 bad boys

I'm thinking about framing them with some cards showing the "dead man's hand" and a few Joker cards, plus maybe the three issue "Batman Knight of Vengeance" mini-series. Might look neat

I honestly wasn't expecting Sean to spend the time getting them while he was there, but that was super kind of him!

And in Jacques' case, he didn't even know about the chips, went to a 52 panel, made a comment, and was given the black chip about 5 minutes later

Sean sent me the other 5 in the mail last week, and then a few days later Jacques gave me his black chip

I feel extremely fortunate and will cherish these promos greatly

Got a few good deals in the past week - nothng flashy or expensive, but good. Picked up a set of the Acclaim Adventure Zone books for .01 each plus shipping - and threw in the 4 Turok Young Adult books at the same price for completion's sake. Also got a Warriors of Plasm 3rd Edition Card Binder for $1. And of course the great deals several members have provided in the Buy/Sell/Trade thread.

It was my pleasure to get the chips. Plus, once I got it in my head that I was trying to get all the chips, I couldn't stop.

Once I set a goal like that, I usually stick with it.

I ended up selling the other set of 5 (no black chip) for $52, so it ended up being worth my time.

So I was at a place today (that has a handful of dealers), working out some trades, and I checked out a few long boxes.

I'm digging through some cheap bins, and I notice a dude start on the other side of the bins from me. I see him pull a book out, and I'm kind of noisy, so I notice it's a Pre-Unity Solar, I think sweet.

...... then he pulls out another and another, and another.......

He must have pulled out 30 or so (probably more) Pre-Unity Valiant books. A nice haul for him. I ended talking to him, he is a teacher also, a REAL nice guy.

He said he has lurked in the past, I told him to join in over here.

A cool dude that got a HECK of a score with Valiant books.

30 or so, well, more like only 20, but some nice books to replace the ones I once had....
