I had turbo lister problems when i started to relist an old batch, then a show, then mass sorting again, so im working towards it, but not quite started more listing on turbo lister.
There are close to twenty boxes to dump on there and i spent all evening adding categories to my ebay store, giving a total of 194 shop categories, lol, though most of them will either never get used or no one will care anyway.

In a good way. One of the cool things about the Pump is that he had relatively few appearances and none of them were lame. He is all badass all the time.

Brightest Day # 24. Well well well. About time this thing stopped sucking. After a brilliant first 7 or 8 issues, the next 8 or 9 were truly dreadful. The last 3 or 4 have been superb. In all, this was a very inconsistent series that did not change as much as it could have. It essentially returned the status quo, albeit with some twists.

Things I liked:

The identity of the Champion and the final panels of the final issue. This is going to be fun. Never get HIM interested in a case.

The setup for Firestorm, J.Jonz, Aquaman and the potential with Boston Brand.

Things I did not like:

Too many large panels of fighting. They tried to balance fighting with philosophy and it just didn't quite work as well as it might have.

I had to wait 24 issues for this?

I quit after issue 10, and got back on for the last 2 issues. Enjoyed them alot and it worked fine. Justice League Generation Lost was better.

So I have been in a re-reading kick.

I just read read Identity Crisis. I thought it was excellent. The only part that was uneeded was the part with the Boomerang's son. The rest, all good.

I then followed it up with Kingdom Come.

An OK story, (I think the concept is VERY interesting, but maybe not produced that well) and some of the art is amazing (brooding/contimplating Superman and many great Wonder Woman shots, great facial expresions, the Shazam over Supes full page is breath taking.) But for me the overall art is just ok. I think the battle scenes are hard to follow and just seem jumbled. They almost became a waste of time to try and figure out. The end is good and the very end is real good. It offers a glimmer of hope and, for me, a perfect tie up to the entire story/concept.

So now I decided to Re-read Marvels. I remember really liking this. I am diggin my last few re-reads. I think I am going to re-read Batman: Hush next.

The battles were my issue. Because they are all painted and most of the heroes are new/redone you can't quite work out whos fighting who.

I thought the way Captain Marvel was handled was one of the best things about it. Lex's manipulation is awesome and some of the best panels show this.

The epilogue is a great touch.

Marvels and Identity Crisis are two of my favorite miniseries of all time. If you enjoyed IDC, you might want to try Infinite Crisis. You have read Crisis on Infinite Worlds, right? As to Marvels, are you in possession of issue 0? Do you have the quasi-sequel "Ruins"?

I quit after issue 10, and got back on for the last 2 issues. Enjoyed them alot and it worked fine. Justice League Generation Lost was better.

I've been hearing great things about JLGL, but I had to choose which series to follow and as I started with BD, and it was so damn cool the first few issues, I kept up with it. I think it lost steam around issue 11 or 12 and then picked it back up around 20. But still, those 4 months of basically nothing happening were pretty bad. I'll grab JLGL in trade form this fall.

I would say, you should qualify that statement with the second part first - if you know and have read Crisis On Infinite Worlds, you will enjoy Infinite Crisis. I LOVED Identity Crisis, even only knowing 70% of the characters, but I was lost in the build-up minis into IC, and by issue 3 of Infinite Crisis itself, I had given up.

Too much Marvel in my blood, I guess.

True, true, but I was rushing to get it posted before my breakfast got cold, lol. As for the mini's, I never read them. All I've read of IC is the main series. None of the crossover stuff except for what little was in GL and GA.

I just got through read the Stan Lee Pow/Boom titles.

Solider Zero was good, albeit a bit a too fast and seems to throw a lot at the reader.

The Traveler was OK and predicable. It's not bad but not as good as I thought.

Starborn is an interesting concept and was IMHO the best written of the three but has very crappy artwork.

Up next Darkwing Duck #5-10 and Annual #1 and Captain America: Man Out of Time #1-5

I need to re-read that, one day. Did you ever try Danger Unlimited? It is also by Byrne, from Dark Horse, and lasted 4 VERY good issues. Byrne claimed to have two years of story pretty much written but decided to discontinue it based on orders for the first book.

No sir, I've never read it but have heard good things about it. In the Next Men HC from IDW (where I was reading from), Byrne mentioned the 'market' as the reason that killed this book (Danger Unlimited).

Yep. He wrote an editorial for Dark Horse where he spoke at length about it. I think this was sometime in 94/95. He got after "collecting magazines" and "speculator, not sales, shops" as the "big villains" that "are killing this industry."

I picked up the Oni FCBD issue. Apparently, it's about spontaneous combustion. Should be interesting.

SPOILERS

Luthor becomes a god from the black ring energy (see previous Action issues). Supes stops him by making him lose all of his power trying to kill him rather than help the universe. Meanwhile a bunch of Doomsday's kidnap the rest of the Superman family (see previous issues of all Superman family titles) and Supes makes his way back. End of MAIN STORY.

The rest is short stories from famous writers. I think the 1 you want to go over again is where Superman sees the suffering of protestors in a middle Eastern country (unnamed I think). Supes flys over and stands dead still with the protestors for 24 hours, doing nothing, before flying back to America. When he gets back to the US the government are up in arms as its been seen as an international incident, Supes reacts and says he'll renounce being an American. The End. Out of contiunity, back up in a special issue.

I read Danger Unlimited and thought it wasn't very good.
