Has anyone else seen this before? I searched the board and couldn't find anything on this. There are a few DF signed books for Acclaim but I have not seen one for Valiant. The logo says Dynamic Forces but the text says Buffalo Books. I didn't notice the "Buffalo Books" text when I hit the BIN. :!:

Ninjak 1. Signed by Jim Palmiotti and Joe Quesada. Numbered 45 of 5000. COA from Buffalo Books and DF Dynamic Forces.

In the form of Treasured collectibles or something like that yes, but as DF im pretty sure that would be the earliest i have seen.

I know. If that many were made, not sure why I haven't come across one before.

Not sure if they would have all the info, but worth mailing DF to see when they started and if they have a list on what they made etc.

Did a little more research and found that DF was around when Ninjak #1 was published (Feb 1994). DF had some signed books back in 1993 with Marvel. Here's a pic of X-Force #25. The COA is similar in design and also signed by Robert Feldman. The only thing is that it says Dynamic Forces in the text instead of Buffalo Books on the Ninjak DF COA.

Hmmm; that IS interesting :hm: .

Like iggy said: you'd think with 5000 copies available, at least someone here would have certainly heard of more than just this one copy popping up. I'd never seen one 'til now.

Good snag, igg

That or maybe they didn't make 5000 total. Seems strange that this copy has such a low number. Or could be just coincidence. Would something like this appear in Previews or Advance Comics back then?

That sounds like the best explanation, Iggy. Someone's hand got tired after 50 and they stopped. Or else Michael Scott wrote out the certificate (a 5K does not mean it's five thousand miles).

Interesting to note the the signed X-Force #25 was "limited" to 7,500 and the COA is also low-numbered . . . #53.

No need to obtain, organize, ship, store, sit down, sign, print, number, and cut 5,000 of anything until they're sold.

My guess is that they only made as many as actually sold.
If you only sell 80 of something limited to 5,000,
then you only make 80 of something limited to 5,000.

You can still make 4,920 more someday if you need to.

If you don't ever sell those other 4,920...
then you don't ever make those other 4,920.

No matter what happens, people THINK you can sell 5,000 or 7,500 of something,
even though you might not have even sold 100 of them.

Marketing is all about appearances.
You can look successful even before you've done anything.

I remember that phase of putting together my VH1 run. Magnus 25 is another one to look out for.

Well while you guys are wasting time with Turok 1 and such, I am quietly putting together the largest collection of Valiant Readers ever seen! At least since they left the printers. I'll be the envy of...hang on some film crew from Hoarders is here.
