I honestly believe that great covers like this (especially from Leeke) propped VALIANT up after the magic was mostly gone.

Thanks guys! This stuff get's harder to find as the years go by.
The original owner had this since around the time it was published.
I was on the fence on if I should pull the trigger or not but I am glad I did!

Great pick-up!

I met Mike Leeke at a store signing in Philly back when that issue was released. Great guy--we talked for about 20 minutes about the *SQUEE* Marvel was pulling that month with the "death of Mr. Fantastic" in FF # 381.

So I'll have to content myself with a signed copy of Hard CORPS 5.

Love that cover. I actually like it better than Jim Lee's work on the first issue. I'm happy just to have both version of #5. I would love to have that original though. Which reminds me Dan, I need to order more books from your site. :?

That is really cool.

I was seriously just reading that issue yesterday, and I was thinking about how much I liked the cover. Nothing against Bernard Changs interior pencils, but I was also thinking it would have been great to see Leeke do the interior of it too.
