Oh a Captain America pun ? 'All in time.' ???xodacia81 wrote:All in time, man. All in time.Knightt wrote:I am having a very hard time even finding something interesting to read from Marvel. DC, well all they had me at was Batman and with the recent stories, I feel like a lesbian saying, "I just want Dick out of my life."Doorman wrote:nope. no sarcasm involved ... just pointing out that Marvel's made some moves to alienate older readers ... and also some moves to alienate new readers (with all these self-involved stories that are based on 20 year old tales)
Bring back Bruce Wayne as The Batman.
Bring back Steve Rogers as Captain America.
Very clever, my friend...

Finished up Justice League-Cry for Justice and then the "Fall of Green Arrow" storyline. I think Fall was a bit too short and I think Cry could have been a little better arranged. Fantastic art but the dialogue was horrible. My one question is...where in the hell did Mia get off to between Green Arrow 32 & Green Arrow 1? There's been no mention of her that I can recall. Does anyone know? Has it shown up in another book? Rise of Arsenal, maybe?

I don't remember Mia showing up much in the Rise of Arsenal.xodacia81 wrote:Finished up Justice League-Cry for Justice and then the "Fall of Green Arrow" storyline. Rise of Arsenal leads directly into the current run on Titans. Deathstroke is leading a group of villains he has dubbed "Titans" and Arsenal signed up. This is about the only way I would read a Titans book.

I started to reread some '90s DC stuff.
Reread Zero Hour and it was actually much more interesting than I remembered, but then I'm much more familiar with Crisis and the general DCU today.
Started rereading the Armageddon 2001 annuals. My reading staled due to the holidays but will soon resume. Nothing special so far but I'm keeping my eyes open for Captain Atom/Monarch hints.

There was an annual for one of the Superman books that I thought was really good. I can't recall which book it was.sanman wrote:I started to reread some '90s DC stuff.

Am I the only guy here who didn't really care for the Hush storyline? Sure the art was pretty, but the story itself was predictable and just seemed an excuse to jam as many villains in as possible. Plus the whole "here's an old secret friend" thing seemed contrived. Just didn't do it for me I guess.

I suggest reading Marvel: The End by Jim Starlin.
