Awesome game.. can't wait to get into the actual sequel.

I got the game half off when you buy Mass Effect 2, but I have no desire to have that game so I'll be returning it. I don't know anything about it - just bought it to get DS2 discounted.
where did u find that deal? i'm interested in both titles.
K-Mart. A buddy of mine at work filled me in. Get this, apparently you only know about the deal if you read the K-Mart blog because it's not actually advertised. :?

Seriously.

But I tooled on over there yesterday and picked up both games and the network card, so the deal is valid.

Wow, great deal on that.

Finishing up the first Gears of War. Not really big into war games, but my kids got it for me with my new 360, so I decided to start playing. The combat scheme is different when compared to most games I've played. Had to get used to the cover aspect and how to shoot the various weapons. By the time I got to the last couple of levels I found myself enjoying the game a lot more than the earlier parts. I would have liked to have seen more of a variety in the weapons, hopefully the next installment will improve on that.

Good game overall.

Gears Of War 2 rocks and you can get it pretty cheap nowadays. I enjoyed the campaign and Horde is a major PITA. Can't wait for the 3rd installment.

Grand Theft Auto 1 for PS1. :thumb:

Great game. I'm up to Vice City level one. I was playing the missions. But when I was armed for battle and
looking for armor in case I got an assassination mission I died and lost everything. So for the past few days
I've been on a personal mayhem mission. Shooting, squishing and smashing anything I can.
Perhaps someday my bloodlust will be satisfied and I can get back to work.
But until then like the Joker in The Dark Knight I'm having too much fun.

Have Number IV and San Andreas but have some comp issues to work out.

I've heard that the gameplay is smoother and the reviews seem to be just as good, if not better than the original. I've got it on my list of games to pick up.

Gears of War has been stellar all around... the next part of the story is very desperate and I am sure it will create a lot of angst and the need to empty your clip into anything that moves withing your sector of fire. The only thing that I dont' care for on this game is that it is a 'rails shooter'. Nothing like the open 'what do I do now' spaces like in Just Cause 2. I pulled that out of the 'games I have not played for a while section of my game disc holder. Not that I can concentrate for more than 4 minutes here lately but it is a blow um up game to the Nth degree. (Just Cause 2).

The next installment in the Gears of Wars trilogy I think will be huge.

I'm on a pretty stable patch of multiplayer madness. Battlefield BC 2 and Left 4 Dead 1 or 2.

Does anyone know when LA Noire is out? There was a video up for it on XBOX Live the other day but seems to have been taken down already.

Started playing Bioshock a few days ago. What a cool twist on the "horror", "zombie" genre of games. I love the cool powers and variety of weapons that you have to use. I have noticed a little frame rate slowdown from time to time though. Nothing too bad, but kind of annoying. I like the story and the retro look of the underwater city (neat idea to set it in that time period). Very imaginative and fun to play. I'll definitely be picking up the second part.

Some of the best plot twists of any game I've played.

I'm rolling through Dead Space 2 ... that game scares the hell out of me.

Im really enjoying playing through Grand Turismo 5. Graphics are stellar! Although I have a VERY nice wheel to use, cost me abotu $150, I actually prefer the controller and it works very well! Cars are amazing, each one unique. Tracks look almost like a movie.

I like the RPG feel to building cars and even building a driver for yourself.

Online play is pretty good. Ive raced against others and saw some glitches but it was fun .

There was a moment last night where a houdini splicer appeared out of nowhere and startled me for a second. That's pretty cool when a game can do that.

I was really happy to pick it up that cheap. I'd put off buying it until the holidays because I figured I could pick it up cheaper. Got the first Assassin's Creed on a similar deal at the end of 2009. Who needs to buy games when they first come out? :D

Related note - I think I've wrapped up about all I can do in the campaign, unless I grab DLC stuff. I guess it's time to finally hit the Omega-4 relay tonight.

I'm the same way with most games. I would rather wait a bit and pick them up for cheap later.

It really depends. If its got a good multiplayer community and your mates have got it then getting a game when it comes out is pretty essential.

Yeah, there are some exceptions. For me it's a Zelda or Mario title.

The Legend of Zelda series will live on forever. I still remember the day I got my original.

Didn't play like a Metroid game. :? That sound right for those that like the metroid series? Didn't have that feel to it.

It differs from the last three, that's for sure. Other M goes back to the SNES days where you play in a third person perceptive. It took some getting used to, but once I worked out the control scheme, I really enjoyed the game. The main story was a little weak, but the graphics are some of the best I've seen on the Wii.

I've downloaded a couple games for my iPad which keep me busy enough. One is Call of Duty World at War Zombie which plays unusually well on the iPad considering that the controls are on the screen or to tilt the iPad. And considering the 'hefty' $4.99 pricetag and many games in the $.99 to $2.99 price range, it may take me a while to pony up $65 for a new game. LOL Yeah right...
