So, does anyone have any ideas where the hell this is all leading?

:o

I just hope you are wrong. I am very much enjoying the sections with Boston Brand. Some of the Aquaman stuff has been nice. I like J.Jonz search for the truth behind what is going on. The Firestorm sections I could do without.

I am quite enjoying the Justice League Generation Lost storyline and appreciate the subtle interactions between the book and Booster Gold and Power Girl. I think Power Girl is going to get dragged into that story soon.

The Brightest Day title sucks. The timing is too choppy and you can't really start getting into any one part of the story because it moves around too much.

which firestorm? :hm:

Last time I read him, he was black. That firestorm series was pretty good. I don't know about now though.
Combo black and white, now. Prof Stein(I think that's his name) is still around. They are trying to make Firestorm out to be some sort of "Omega" weapon.
Yeah. Both of them are just plain bad characters. Not worth the paper they are printed on.
Agreed :thumb: Boring and stupid looking.
Stupid looking is only half of it. Let's say Firestorm gets caught in something he can only "burn" his way out of. But, in order to do so, he's using up oxygen and lots of it. So, does he suffocate before he rescues himself? They might as well call him Suicide Man.
Um... he's not really fire-based you know? He's Atomic-based and atom manipulation. Like Solar, except he can be solid without issues.

He was better written before all this BD/BN garbage.

So, anyone else following this? Anyone have any thoughts on this week's developments? Did anyone hear that the series has been shortened by an issue? 25 issues instead of 26. Instead of 0-25, it's 0-24, now, although the finale is still double sized. Word is that DC didn't want to have BD ending as close to the start of Flashpoint (I think that's it) as originally intended.

Were it not for the wife, I would not have ever bothered with Brightest Day.

I only read it because I insist on reading all the comics we buy. Brightest Day is consistently at the bottom of my to-read pile. Generation Lost is way better.

I quit on Brightest Day. Had no interest in Firestorms story and it seemed too often.

I've been skim reading them though as my mate is still interested. Aquaman's story seemed to be getting good.

Chiclo is right. Generation Lost is way better. It's one of the top books DC is publishing right now.

Firestorm story is meh, Aquaman was meh but its kicking off nicely now the Hawks story i felt was lame, never really been a fan of them anyways but the ending of it was a true WTF moment.

The real treats our Deadman and Dove story and Martian Manhunters.

But as my learned colleagues mentioned above - generation lost, hands down the most consistent and enjoyable of the post-blackest night series.

JL:GL is a guilty pleasure, even though Maxwell Lord is a total *SQUEE*, hes too damn enjoyable to read!
