Alone against the Aztec horde!
They cut out your still-beating heart and offer it up to the gods before your dying eyes to keep the sun rising. Thus do the Aztecs serve their faith. The Shorn Ones—the deadliest, most fearless warriors ever to walk the Earth—drag Turok’s young friend Andar and the beautiful Aasta to the sacrificial altar, where Maxtla, the Aztec god-king, raises the obsidian dagger. Only Turok can save them—one man alone against a thousand!
-Turok, Son of Stone is one of comics’ truly iconic characters, popular for half a century.
-Industry legend Jim Shooter returns to the character he redefined in the 1990s to overwhelming sales and critical success.
-Inspired the wildly popular Turok, Dinosaur Hunter game and Turok, Son of Stone animated feature.

I'll pass on both them. I'm cutting costs and DHGK titles feel like books that would read better in TPB.Daniel Jackson wrote:Looks a million times better than the sneak peaks we've seen of the Tuork interior pages, that's for sureMoonChild wrote:Wow, look at that Turok cover!Daniel Jackson wrote:Man, those covers are incredible.

I liked the first issue of Magnus and I think it has some long term possibilities. Magnus is a great character and I like how Jim is staying close to the Manning version.
Solar has been the weakest title so far, but in fairness to Jim, Solar is a lot harder to write for. That's one of the major drawbacks in dealing with characters who are that powerful.

I bet you're right. Bill Reinhold was also mostly an inker for Marvel, so I doubt they'd bring someone else in to ink him.The Beyonder wrote:While he is a good inker, he has branched out into penciling as of late, so I'll wager he's drawing the backup story in this issue...OmenSpirits.com wrote:holy *SQUEE*, they invested in a real inker for Magnus?!
Jess is a really good inker.
Oh and a backup story featuring the origin of 1-A

Yeah, I was thinking "Wait, they are already doing a crossover with Halo?" Once again, the DH GK stuff directly cribs something from someplace else.caxiotis wrote:When I first looked at the Magnus cover I thought "what is Master Chief from Halo doing with Magnus?" Anyway.....both covers look great.
