It's been a while. I was going to check something in late 2009 (I think) and it was already down.

I just posted my needs list in the B/S/T forum. There's quite a bit of Dead Universe stuff, but it's not all Dead Universe stuff, so I'll just post a link to the thread here:

I do the SAME thing, man. My only LCS has a huge new shipment of stuff in the cheap bins. I was wanting to go there this weekend but family stuff kept me from going. One thing that is good about me NOT going is that I know that there looks to be a 90% complete run of Grim Jack from First Comics that is now NOT currently sitting in my house. Sometimes if I put it off, I talk myself out of it. It is not that I want a run of Grim Jack but my thinking is 'well it is THERE... and it is CHEAP'.

I'm finding myself thinking along those lines for some of the books I've been looking at. As a collector, one thing that is hard to resist is a cheap SALE of books that would be COOL to have. Or that you need. Or just because.

does anyone need a copy of the Jumpstart (Strangers) TPB for their Ultraverse run? There's a copy for sale on the CGC board for $3 (plus shipping):

You are right. DC comics from the Copper Age especially are total junk. Please everyone - sell me your high-grade DC Comics Presents 26, New Teen Titans (1980) 1-10, Action Comics 583, Superman 423, Swamp Thing 20-64, Sandman 1-75, Animal Man 1-25 and Legion 37-38. This stuff majorily sucks, and I feel so bad I want to take this off your hands to "ease the collecting pain."

Are you intimating that DUs are junk? Either for reading potential or for value of the books? Because in either case I readily dismiss your argument.

No, dork. I'm saying some of the best DC material ever to come out you called a DU. And much of that material laid the groundwork for the Modern Universe.

Do I appear to be a guy that doesn't appreciate Copper Age DC comics?

By the way, one of those DCP 26's came from Mike "Dark Horse Comics" Richardson's Things From Another World store before he started DH Comics. :cloud9:

Can you prove your point without all those DC comics? DC makes me sad.
