are you talking a flat rate envelope? Those do ok for comics if you pack them with plenty of heavy cardboard. The small flat rate box is too small for comics (8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8") and the medium flat rate box costs $10.70

No, it's the Medium Flat-Rate box, just a bit larger inside dimensions than a bagged&boarded comic in a Sliver-age sized bag I am referring to. My lot (around 50 comics, way too much for an envelope) should fit into one of those for $10-something, and if using his own box, it would probably be upwards into the $20-range.
