This thread has surpassed my math threshold.

I try not to do much math unless I get paid for it.

That's not true... you got the right answer in your first post:

Comic books ain't what they used to be in terms of sales. Part of me is still sad that we don't have semi-affordable "chrome" variants, etc. like we used to. That being said, if Solar stays at this level, it stands a good chance of being around for awhile. But if it drops below #125, that's not so good.

Nice job at using the numbers to do some early figuring guys. :thumb:

Anyone want to take a guess at the print on Solar #2? After the suckitude of the first issue, I'd guess 14K.

raymondsolar wrote:The only way to actually determine sales figures for any comic book would be for the publisher to release actual sales numbers. ICV2 and Diamond really only report North American sales figures based on Diamond's sales numbers. Dark Horse Comics distributes and sells their books directly to and through other outlets and overseas worldwide figures would have to be factored in as well in order to reach an accurate figure. So who really knows what Doctor Solar #1 sold? Dark Horse Comics.
Yep, but it's the same for all companies. Therefore, it's possible to determine how succesful the book is in the US.
