I say we take up a collection to have him redraw issue #1 so when the trade is released it will all match.

Not sure how I feel about the colors, but the art is pretty good.

To me, it looks pretty similar. I really think that it is a problem with the coloring moreso than the art.
Never disliked the art for #1.

The backgrounds were really bare and didn't seem in proportion or the right angle to the characters. Thats what hurt it for me.

Nice looking cover, but the inks look a bit heavy

not the cover, it's the opening splash page so it will have the title and credit box as well

That doesn't mean you weren't spot-on about the heavy inks...

I think you're right. It's the coloring that make both this and the Turok art cartoony. With different coloring and inking I think this would have a much better feel.

Yeah, I wonder if JayJay Jackson is busy these days. Oh and while we are at it, is David Lapham done with that silly Predator book he's been doing.
May never happen but I'd love to see them back working with Shooter.

Since Lapham is working with Dark Horse I think it's very likely that at some point, he will work with Jim on the new GK stuff. Hopefully soon.

She is busy. She's got her own company. She didn't seem to think that she'd be doing anything with Dark Horse when I asked her, but she does spend quite a bit of time on the Dark Horse boards.
It would be fantastic to get her on board with this launch.

I don't know if I like this art... all that teeth gritting with Solar. This Solar is all about concentration and seems pretty calm. Of course, the bad guy looks pretty fierce but I think I like issue #1 art better. I mean it was ok for me... now Magnus on the other hand, BOO YAA !!!
IMO

I agree with Knightt. I am not too big a fan of this #3 art. Issue #1 looked better than this too me.

Definitely an improvement but the book looks like it was inked with a broad tip Sharpie marker.
