I thought PGX 9.8 equated to CGC 8.5-9.4??

There
have been PGX 9.8s that turn out to be CGC 9.8s or even 9.9s...

The scans don't look bad, but very hard to tell.
I think overall though it was a good buy given the risk.

Actually, I was a member there beforehand, but was on one of my "sabbaticals" from the internet and missed the actual meltdown. Heck, I was one of those willing to give PGX the benefit of the doubt at first, and got
on instead, reading all about it after the fact.
Daniel Patterson is a hack, his "company" is in his mom's house, in either the basement or garage, and his resto detection is probably no better than mine (meaning marginal, at best.)

Still, based on that scan $31 is probably good, and you could break it out of the case and submit it to CGC....
I guess.
I don't really know.
Just boosting my post count.

They live because they are cheaper than CGC, moderns are easy to grade, and from what I've heard, their "slab" is actually a wee bit nicer than the CGC slab. Or at least it used to be, CGC did a redesign a few years back, so...

I think you make a good point here, especially where the non serious collector or new investor is concerned.
Aesthetically pleasing is a major factor in their continued existence.

Considering the cost of the CGC 9.8's it was worth to buy and resub, at least I think so.
