I just found out that my copy of X-O 57 has a double cover! Kind of neat...
Anyone have any background on this or other double cover books?

Re: X-O 57 Double cover..
I have had so many comics in the last 3 years with double covers, but nothing beats my Dark Horse Buffy # 1 that has an incredible 6 cover !!!!IanAlexavier wrote:I just found out that my copy of X-O 57 has a double cover! Kind of neat...

X-O 57 has a double cover? Is this a common occurence, or a printing error?Draco wrote:I have had so many comics in the last 3 years with double covers, but nothing beats my Dark Horse Buffy # 1 that has an incredible 6 cover !!!!IanAlexavier wrote:I just found out that my copy of X-O 57 has a double cover! You might be referring to the one I sold a while back of the double cover with manufacturing error cuts. The book looked like a frankenstein book which I was surprised made it through the QA.greg wrote:I believe there is an Archer & Armstrong #2 like that somewhere...iwantvaliantcomics wrote:My copy of the Ninjak Yearbook is a double cover. The outer cover has a fold and if you unfold it, it has the cut lines for the machine.
(I can't remember if I bought it... or if I just saw it online.)

I now have one and a half short boxes of oddities.Elveen wrote:There are people who collect the "oddities". I sold a staple-less Sojourn book for some pretty good $$$.
They range from double covers ( probably about three to be honest), comics with one or no staples, miscut covers, miscut whole comics to pages wrong way round upside down etc.
My favourite books are the Buffy with 6 covers, Y the last man # 1 with pages upside down, round way round and the starngest X-Men forever # 1 DF exclusive covers where the whole comic is miscut and the bag is also damaged too, which leads to all kinds of questions about DF and how they bag their goods from printing?
My latest 'odditie' is a Midnight Nation where the front cover is printed 'normal' and the back cover (advertisement) is upside down, while my other copy has the corrected 'advertisement cover'. Nuts huh ?
But, I have collected every VALIANT double cover I could get my hands one 'through fate' never bought/traded one.
I do think that the Magnus #57 error copy is pretty cool as well.
I am still waiting to find a copy of Bloodshot #1 and Turok #1 printed without the chromium piece on the cover as well as the 'white Deathmate' (i.e. just missing the foil).
They just look cool.

Why did that get a qualified grade, when other error issues (like multiple covers) get blue labels?toddyboy wrote: now's your chance... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0164210833
WHAT ? OMG... and this guy lives in Surprise, Arizona. I should go up there and 'surprise' him by sticking my foot so far down his throat that his poop gets in my shoe... charging that much for a error book. ARRRRGH things like that tick me off. I mean really... would anyone here buy that book for that price ? Is it REALLY worth that much ?toddyboy wrote:now's your chance... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0164210833Knightt wrote:My latest 'odditie' is a Midnight Nation where the front cover is printed 'normal' and the back cover (advertisement) is upside down, while my other copy has the corrected 'advertisement cover'.
