I can't find it, but in one of the interviews with Shooter he says they all inhabit the same universe.iggy101us wrote:Yeah, saw that too. At least 3 different time periods with Solar in the present and Magnus in the future. Mighty Samson is around the same time as Magnus but not sure if it's in the same reality. I wonder how or if they will interact.greg wrote:The year is 1428... interesting...
He also said that Mighty Samson takes place around 900 years from now (now being Solar's time), so 4 different time periods.

For some reason I thought Samson is around the year 4000 from the below. But I guess the Lore-Speakers could be speaking about events that occurred way before their time.Prelate1 wrote:I can't find it, but in one of the interviews with Shooter he says they all inhabit the same universe.iggy101us wrote:Yeah, saw that too. “Upon the Earth walks he who slays behemoths with his fist. Stone and iron yield before the strength of his sinews. A thousand warriors cannot stand against his strength. It is given unto him to deliver his people from the beneath the yoke of their oppressors, and no force under Heaven can stay him from his destiny. He is called the Mighty Samson.” – From the recitations of the Lore-Speakers in the first year of the Age to Come, at the dawn of the Fourth Millennium.

Could be wrong but I take the 1428 date as when Turok and Andar come from. So I don't think the book will be ongoing in that time frame. I think we will end up with four distinct time periods. Solar-Now, Samson-700yrs in the future, Magnus-4000yrs in the future, Turok-Out of time stream.
Eduardo Francisco's art looks great. The cover is truly amazing.

I read into it more than it actually says but he does say
"JS: So far, we have one title set in Pre-Columbian times, one set in the present, one set seven hundred years in the future and one set two thousand years in the future. They’re all set on Earth (except for Turok, Son of Stone, which starts on Earth and progresses into a parallel continuum much like Earth in its Cretaceous Period but with anachronistic people and things swept there from other times). So, they’re all related, they all share the world in the same sense that you and I share the world with Alexander the Great and generations to come. Said another way, Doctor Solar’s era is part of the history of Magnus’s time."
Of the four books we know are coming I guess I took the part about one being set 700 years in the future as the Mighty Samson book.

Just what he has done in the past looks great, and I think his style will mesh well with Turok.
Should have made that more clear.

So Samson talk place in 2700 give or take a few decades. Well that's very interesting. According to the Samson summary exert, the series takes place 500 years after the nuclear holocaust, so by 2200 civilization ends (presumbably in a gaint war) and by the year 4000 it's fixed and we get a utopia. This is a lot like the Valiant Universe with the Harbinger Wars that mess up everything for 900+ years and then everything's rebuilt by the year 4000 for the Manning Utopia.Prelate1 wrote:I found the interview heres the linkiggy101us wrote:For some reason I thought Samson is around the year 4000 from the below.
