Harbinger Coupon Question
I'm sure this has been talked about before, but my search for the topic was not fruitful. So if you can provide a link, cool or feel free to re-hash if you fancy.
I picked up a run of the pre-unity Harbingers this weekend. #1, 3, 4, 5, 6 all had the coupons and card intact. #2 had neither and didn't even have the little piece of white paper from cutting out the coupon or card anywhere! It is obvious that these books came from the same collection. So cutting out only #2, when all the other Harbies and Magnuses all had the coupons and cards.
Were the coupon/card sheets stapled in the books or did they fall out easily? This is the first book I've run into like this. I've seen lots of cut-outs, but this one is either a "fall out" or never had one to begin with?
Any info would be appreciated as usual.

I have actually ran into both some were bound by staple and others were inbetween and easily pullable( ) much like Amazing SM #237 first Hobgoblin with the tattoo situation.
but I haven't bought one that didn't have something there cut is more common on the many issues I have if they came like that.
don't know if that helps.

I recently was checking my pre unity's a little and came across my couponless Harby's that I also sent in, I believe I sent in 3 sets at the time. I remember that some were not stapled in directly, some were, and some just caught an edge of a staple. Some of my white cards (from the other side) are loose and some are not.SolarFan777 wrote:I sent all my coupons in to get my pink zero issue and I remember removing the whole piece of cardboard from the staple. It wasn't too hard so maybe that's what happened. They look like they were never there.

CGC doesn't list anything related to the staple. When I sent 2 Harbinger #1's one had 2 staples and one had 3. I got a CGC 9.8 and a CGC 9.6.400yrs wrote:Cool!
Another question: Does anyone know if CGC differentiates in terms of the 3 staple Harby 1 vs. the 2 staple copies? Does the third staple lead to lower grades?
Thanks again.

Ah, so you're saying that they downgraded by 0.2 because of the extra staple. That's good to knowx-omatic wrote:CGC doesn't list anything related to the staple. When I sent 2 Harbinger #1's one had 2 staples and one had 3. I got a CGC 9.8 and a CGC 9.6.400yrs wrote:Cool!

I was thinking about posting the same thing in regards to the ASM #238 but I realized I was being anal so I didn't. Glad I'm not the only one who thought about doing this.Peter Parker wrote:Just to be factually accurate...1st Hobby was ASM# 238!betterthanezra wrote:I have actually ran into both some were bound by staple and others were inbetween and easily pullable( ) much like Amazing SM #237 first Hobgoblin with the tattoo situation.
