Reading in 'chronological' order...?
It’s tougher than I thought.
I figured, read only the 'core' titles (those before the post UNITY expansion) and read the stories as a 'timeline'.
I started off with the Solar #0 (trade), but after re-reading it [my 3rd time since it was released], it didn't seem to cover the Eternal Warrior or X-O early stories.

EW's first issues were unity issues...magnus doesn't even know of him until the geomancer says they need to find "the fist and steel"Sector3600 wrote:It’s tougher than I thought.

Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

I've been working on reading all the Valiant titles in release order for quite a while now. I'm now a couple months past the Chaos Effect. Sometimes I wonder if reading these later books in release order is the best idea or if I should just finish off the runs of the books one at a time. There are so many titles at this point and most of the storylines don't cross over now it's sometimes hard to keep each title's storyline straight. I'm looking forward to the point where a bunch of the lesser titles are cancelled (Birthquake time, I guess) so this goes a bit quicker.
I'm still getting a lot of enjoyment out of these, even if certain titles are starting to stink (I finally see what you guys mean about the later issues of HARD Corps).

And then when you are done with that you can read them in reverse order. You also have to start each issue from the last page and work your way backwards.Knightt_333 wrote:I read them one title at a time. (somewhat hard to do as I am 18 books away from 100% - HELP-, spread out) But once I have done that I will go through and read them in chronological order (or so I hope) and then, maybe in release order. Three times the fun...
Many of these books I have never read before because back when they came out I did not want to read them and I stopped all together after Chaor Effect. So quite a few 'new' reads for me.
