Supanova Brisbane (April 9-11 2010)
Supanova
The major comic guests are Marv Wolfman, George Perez & Paul Jenkins.
Especially looking forward to meeting Perez, as I've met Wolfman before at a previous con.
I'm hoping to get a quick sketch by Perez in my copy of Crisis On Infinite Earths Absolute Edition. But still trying to decide on who, thinking of either Superman or Harbinger.
Still managed to find a few books for Wolfman to sign.
Also got my copies of Deadside for Jenkins to sign.

See if he still rants about how that whole boondoggle went down. I found it a fascinating 7 minutes or so.Flinx wrote:Also got my copies of Deadside for Jenkins to sign.

Had a great time at Supernova.
Got a lot of comics signed, including a head sketch of Harbinger by Perez in my copy of Crisis On Infinite Earths Absolute Edition.
Also told Perez that with all the companies he worked with that I was surprised that he hadn't worked for Valiant. He told me that he was about to work for them when they bust. Wish I had asked further on whether it was to be Valiant before Acclaim took over or later for Acclaim.
Virtually no Valiants comics to be found except a few common mid-range issues.
My best (and only) buys were at three shops before the con.
Turok 19, 20 & 34 - $0.50 each
Deathmate Prologue Gold, Blue Gold, Yellow Gold, Epilogue Gold - $8.00 each and Preview Pink (2 copies) $10.00 - total $42.00
Bloodshot 0 Gold, Deathmate Tourbook and Secret Weapons 11 VVSS (2 copies) - all $1.00 each

Got Jenkins to talk about Deadside. Even though I've read virtually nothing by him, but because of my quick chat with him, I went to one of his talks. It was interesting, I'm now keeping a watch for some of his upcoming work.BloodOfHeroes wrote:See if he still rants about how that whole boondoggle went down.
