Comics-n-stuff. They also had lots of independents and old Marvels.

I went to the one in Chula Vista mall and Westfield mall in National City. It's safe to say these have been sufficiently picked through for Valiant stuff.

Doesn't count. Still has an oblique Valiant connection.

Not that super, but I got a TWD 8 1st print for $3 and picked up a pretty nice copy of NC FS #3a for $7 (which is a little more than I like to pay, but it looks pretty sweet).

If anyone is thinking about checking out Dynamo 5, this auction is pretty sweet:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Dynamo-5-TPB-Vols-1 ... 3a58a680da
If I didn't have it, I'd grab it. Includes V1-3, the annual and NC Archive #1. It didn't sell last time for the same price so the seller relisted.

Yeah, I've actually read that book and I'd say it is a good book to lock up in a plastic case and never let anyone read it ever, ever again.

Im so excited!!!!

I cant wait to tell you this story..

I havent had my heart beat as fast as it did today.. my face must have been beat red! Ok, so the story..

I went to a local comic book show here in south east Michigan called the X-Travacon.

Ive been to this local con several times in the last 3 years. Today was the first time in over a year.. so I dont go very often.

This is the FIRST Con I took any of my kids to. My son turned 8 today and so I took him as a surprise. He was very exited. He wanted to blow some birthday cash on some toys.. and he did.

While I was tooling around the place, it had about 30 tables, I noticed a guy having some VALIANT boxes in his $1 area. I started thumbing through them when I came across the Shadowman area. I was just 'dumb-thumbing', this is a term I use when I mindlessly flip through comic boxes looking at covers. Anyone else do this?
This is when I ran into some Shadowman V3 books! I was so happy!! My heart started beating faster, these yummy books for $1!! Or so I though..

I picked a few books out and asked the seller if these VALIANTS are $1 too? He said "No,.... those are $.50 each." I played dumb and kept my smile to myself. My son is pulling at my pants wanting to go check out some more toys.

I slowly flipped through the Shadowman comics wondering what I would find next..then it happened, it wasnt a #1 issue.. it wasnt a gold book, it wasnt a red book.. it was a variant cover though.... did you guess it?? Good Bad Ugly baby!!! I was stoked!!! I slid it into my stack and new that my niche knowledge of VALIANT/Acclaim was about to pay off.

In the end I picked up 10 books in all costing me a whopping $5. This is my list:

Shadowman V3 #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, GBU,
Bloodshot V2 1,2,3
Unity 2000 #2

Im a happy man.. the rush of grabbing up a rare and valuable comic was a ton of fun!!

Just picked a Rai #5 at the flea market. Got it for a dollar. :D

It's my first copy too. I don't think I've ever read it. Sad story.

Hell of a cover though!
