I wish ebay was able to enforce the contractual obligation part. The winner of my auction, that someone previously told me they were flat out not paying if they won, has still not paid. I might just be overreacting, but, he does have 0 feedback. So i likely won't get the money for this one. Aside from sending an invoice, is there anything i can do to get this?

I know there is the second chance offer.....but thats the guy that already said he wasnt paying.

I think the 2 nd chance offer sould be obligated to pay what his top offer was if the high bidder backs out just my 2c

the problem with that idea, if I lose an auction, I may go after the same item from someone else and win. TO make me then have to buy both would be unfair

I agree with dhudson here. Ive done a similar thing before, lost on an auction for something, then bid up another lot of the same thing. I just think the paypal and ebay should be integrated, or ebay should have their own version, and once you win, it just automatically happens.

I also think they should let you leave negative feedback if your the seller to a buyer who goes back on the deal like they used to it was at least a warning to a buyer to do the right thing if they bid and won an auction. Now they can just leave the deal, you cant say a thing and you still have to pay the fees for selling something.

Only issue with that is if the seller is offering discounts for multiple buys, or you work out a deal etc.

I am selling my boyfriends old comic book collection as we prepare for a cross country move (no sense in carting them around if he's done with them!) I don't know a lot about comics, so please no complicated questions!

Yeah, if that's all he has they would probably be better off just donating them to the local library.

Bloodshot #1 $5 min bid. Auction has slabbed Bloodshot pic but description says "its not in the hard plastic but its perfect like new in plastic".

I probably won't even pay $5 if it IS slabbed.

Harbinger #1 with coupon . . . he is thinking about the wrong coupon. D'oh!

I'm afraid to bid on this one.

I couldn't let this one go... I just sent the seller a message on eBay explaining what the coupon was, where it was, and asking if it was present.

Spreading the knowledge.

Even with the coupons, that would probably be pushing it by the time you factor in shipping.
