There's so much going on in this issue that I'm going to have to re-read it to see if I missed anything. But here's the best part--In the DCU, dead is now dead. No more characters dying and then showing back up a year later. When someone dies, it's for good. Or at least, until Nekron is brought back again.
The 4-page fold out disappointed me. I was expecting the Anti-Monitor to kick some serious tail and then it was just... that.

Dead is dead. Heard that before. I cite Marvel Comics: The End.

I guess I am not emotionally involved in many DC characters. Maybe 1 out of that whole roster.

I wonder what will become of Alan Scott since Solomon Grundy crushed and destroyed his green lantern. Scott's ring was left powerless at the end of the issue. Does anyone know if they continued that story in some other DC title after the Solomon Grundy seven issue mini-series?

I hadn't even heard about this. I'm sure Alan will figure out how to make another one

The ending kinda disappointed me. It was full of a bunch of random plot twists that followed arbitrary rules. In the end, it was a generic good vs. evil story with some random results.

I did enjoy it, but man. Totally contrived.

Are you saying Superboy or Superboy Prime? In any case, I wouldn't think either one of them

I'm thinking Don Hall, the original Dove.

Dammit, now I'm seeing dead DC characters everywhere with the White Lantern. Kal-L seems a very solid possibility.

Kal-L would be interesting to have back in regular continuity, but I hope he doesn’t return as the white lantern. Superman’s uniqueness has been diluted enough with the New Krypton story line and having the Kingdom Come Superman join the JSA. Further, I don’t see any foreshadowing or other support for me to think he’s a real possibility.

I believe the white lantern will be a character already aligned with the white spectrum. Dawn Granger I think is the only other character who exhibited a pure white emotional spectrum from the beginning, but I feel she would be a weak stand alone character. She’s much better balancing Hank’s Hawk persona. That, and I hope we’ll be seeing a new Hawk and Dove series soon or at least more of their involvement in the post-BN DCU.

However, in the Teen Titians BN issues there's enough to support the idea that Don Hall is connected to the white spectrum more than any other character, being at peace and beyond the black rings' control. Further, Johns is clearly interested in resurrecting the DC Silver Age and I think he would definitely be inclined to bring back Don in some way.

The dudes with the green rings are the green lanterns.

The dudes with yellow rings are yellow lanterns.

Orange and red rings, orange and red lanterns, respectively.

Same for blue, violet, and indigo.

The folks with black rings were black lanterns too.

I'm thinking it might, just might, be possible that the guy with the white ring will be the white lantern.

Call me crazy.

Any chance the White Lantern will be DC's version of Captain Universe?

(i have no clue. Hal Joran hatred and all'a that).

But I didn't know Alan lost his ring. That sucks.

He's still got it in the JSA books... except for the current story arc which takes place in an alternate future where he's dead. BUT he did have it as of last month's issue.

I am pretty sure that he gets his ring back before the end of the Solomon Grundy mini.

Scott Kolins did that, right? I'll have to track it down, I suppose. Thanks, Chiclo.

Finally got my copy. Very nice way to wrap things up. A great action packed epic with enough of an epilogue to kick start hundred of different plot lines. Some real interesting resurrections. I wonder how and why those specific 12 were the ones chosen to be resurrected?

Deadman... alive?! He's going to have to be a white lantern to be honest... otherwise hes totally powerless.

Max Lord! A perfect resurrection for the upcoming JLE series coming in the next few months. Plus hes going to have to have something to do with Wonder Woman.

Martian Manhunter (YAY!), guessing he will also be in Justice League issues to come whether it be America or Giffen's series. Aquaman also needed to return in the same way that MM did.

The only ones I was a little surpised by were:
Osiris... any ideas why he could be back?
Digger Harkness... Does the Flash really need more enemies?
Jade...

meh...
Hawk (although I guess Dove needs a partner) and Firestorm (a character I've never got on with in any of their renditions)

who have I missed?
