Rescuer of the week!!!!

Post by kryptonitecomics »

I hit two LCS today on a quest for Valiant's. I picked up some normal Marvel and DC pulls as well, but let's get to the stuff that might interest you folks. All of these were purchased for cover price or less, so I feel pretty good about the buys. I you can see I rescued some pretty low print run books and even some I had never heard of....

Solar #60
Solar #6 (16) copies (Cover Price, what a haul) :!:
Solar #10 First Print (Cover Price) :D
Rai #0
Rai #33
Magnus Robot Fighter #4
Magnus Robot Fighter #9
Magnus Robot Fighter #10
Magnus Robot Fighter #11
Magnus Robot Fighter #63
Magnus Robot Fighter #64
Vintage Magnus Robot Fighter #1
Vintage Magnus Robot Fighter #2
Deathmate Pink Preview (Free) :o
Unity Lost Chapter 1
X-O Manowar #1/2
X-O Manowar #65
X-O Manowar #66
X-O Manowar #67
Unity 2000 Preview Book (Free) :o
Valiant Voice #1, #2, #6, #7

The issue that didn't have prices on the cover I got for free, and the Valiant Voices cost me $2 bucks each. So I would officially like to be recognized as:

RESCUER OF THE WEEK

nice haul...wrap those last two magnus issues up in toilet paper and flush them down the toilet...cause they are pure S**t...(seems I've heard the same about the last issues of X-O as well... :)
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

It was on the check list so I needed to fill the whole towards a complete set :?:

I stilll can't believe I found 16 copies of Solar #6, dude I bought every issues they had and the owner told me he had boxes and boxes of Valiant's in another storage areas, so I told him to bring them in and let me search through them. If I can get some early Harbinger, Solar, Magnus, or X-O for cover........I'll break out the Credit Card

Yes some are CGC worthy. Now if any one doubted my cover price finds yesterday.....hold on to your Valiant hats as I made a return trip to the same shop and hit the lotto once again. This next hoard could go down in Valiantcomics.com history :o :o :o :o :o

Here is what I dug out of the boxes and again everything was cover price or less:

Deathmate Blue (Gold) 2 copies
Deathmate Yellow (gold)
Deathmate Epilogue (Gold)
PSI-Lords #1 (Gold) 2 copies
Magnus Robot Fighter # 4 w/Cards 4 copies
Magnus Robot Fighter #3 w/cards 5 copies
Rai #33
Solar #11
Punx #3

Acclaim stuff all $1 dollar a piece.

Ninjak #1 Retailer Review $1
Magnus #1 Retailer Review $1
X-O Manowar Retailer review $1

Now I know it's tuff to believe that I was able to walk into one shop and grabed these up like modern day crappola, but I have included pictures to show off these finds!!!

I actually posted the pictures so that no one thought I was telling fish stories. You know the guy that finds everything for nothing......we've all run across them on forums, but honest it's not me!!!!!

:D

The sick thing is the owner is going to let me in his backroom to look through more boxes full of Valiant's...............if I find runs of Pre-unity Harbinger's I am going to SHAT myself
