I've been tempted to download them myself. The reviews have been pretty good, but the reviewers also point out that parts of the game are frustrating and tough to beat. That brings back memories of playing some of the other Mega Man games in the past, fun but aggravating at the same time....ian_house wrote:Are these the new ones?oldjello wrote:I'm about to download Megaman 9 and 10 for my Wii.

Not quite as many as playing Contra though. Hearing the word Contra makes my blood boil!Daniel Jackson wrote:Hahaha....you too?ian_house wrote:I remember throwing many a control pad at Megaman...Daniel Jackson wrote:I've been tempted to download them myself. Rockman is awesome. I only got my first taste with X5 but after playing it I realised it was the type of platformer I had always been wanting to play.
My best deal was Megaman X Command Mission on the PS2 for 50p because game messed up and after the way they treated me I have no problem exploiting them any way I can, so I grabbed it. One day I may even get round to finishing it
I love the 2 Megaman PSP games that came out early on in the PSPs lifespan. Shame they didn't do more really. Maybe I should look into porting the early ones. That would be cool.

Just got through with Ghost Squad for the Wii. Great light gun game and it works very well with or without the zapper gun shell. I got it to fill out the last weekend on my Gamefly promotional month before I canceled because i heard it was uber short. I think the shortness of gameplay is a little bit exaggerated. Realistically you're looking at atleast 6-10 hours of gameplay to unlock and play all the areas and party modes and even more if you want to unlock all the guns and costumes. The game play is very much in keeping with the arcade game so it's designed to be played through once every few day since you're playing through the same three missions over and over (even with tons of branching paths, it does get redundant if you play do repeated play throughs back to back). I'd recommend it for a nice long rent or a cheap buy, especially if you have some to play it with.

Brutal Legend!
If you like hard rock/heavy metal at all and were alive during the glory days of metal in the 70's and 80's, you will get a kick out of this game. Or if you can just put up with these elements for the comedy factor, because this game is hilarious.
The music rocks, and the game play is simple enough to not worry about too much. Good solid system with some hack n slash, some vehicle driving/combat, and some troop management.
Someday, I'll get the Wolverine and Batman games, along with the expansion for Dragon Age: Origins. But I need to finish DA:O and Brutal Legend before I can start Mass Effect 2 still! Too many good games!

THAT is a fact. I also have too many games 'ongoing' with too little time. I have the Wolverine and Batman games and I REALLY like them but there came a point in Wolverine where I became 'stuck' so I looked up the solution on the internet, then got stuck again shortly thereafter. So, I put it back in my folder (I do not store my games in their boxes, I use a 200 count CD holder to store all my Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 3 and Playstation 2 games, then the game booklets in a drawer in my HDTV stand) and went on to something else. Batman, the same thing. Even though I KNOW that these are really good games (for 'superhero games'), I have them on the back-burner when I should be all over these.Phoenix8008 wrote:Brutal Legend!

I am very curios now about Brutal Legend. The used price on this game is now $17.00 at GameStop (10% off that price with my GameStop card) which makes it a 'safe gamble'.
I picked up Too Human again last night, started a new game and in no time I was past where I had stopped the last time around which is well over a year ago. What I found difficult before was now a nice change of pace. I used to think it was the most over hyped and crappola game that I had ever purchased and now it is a pretty decent game. I think I must have gotten better with the controller because this is now a pretty good/enjoyable game.
I really need to get into Dragon Age: Origins... the game play has gotten really good reviews but I am VERY disappointed in the graphics. They are very 'last generation'. I think that with this game they should have spared no expense to ensure that the graphics would blow you away. Not even the new expansion makes any improvement on the graphics. I have Mass Effect 2 (which pretty much went hand in hand with DA:O and shared an 'armor set') and those graphics and the RPG play are above reproach. It is a very polished game with a great deal of depth and width for the sci-fi genre.
Out of all my games (between Xbox and Playstation), I have only completed about five... with A LOT of open ended games in need of attention.
Between gaming, comics, board projects and life... it makes completing games rather difficult. I have three games on pre-order and when those come out, I plan on getting more serious in putting some time into them and my older games. I don't think I will ever get 'ahead of the game'.
I can't put down Plants vs Zombies on the iPhone. I've probably put 50+ hours into it already.
I finally got around to playing Starcraft 2 beta. Love the game but still learning the build sequences, have only tried Terran race so far.
My guilty game secret is I still play Diablo 2. I haven't logged in since they released 1.13 but I keep logging in to keep my characters.

If you can scrape together the cash for a 360, there are SO MANY cheap games for it.xodacia81 wrote:I have been pricing systems lately. I think my "next" game is going to be Breath of Fire 2...for the SNES. I can't afford a new machine

Currently 141 at that link under $25. Obviously not all gold, but plenty of stuff worth playing. The cheap ones change all the time there, and always free shipping.

Gears of War 2 was a great game... I've beat it about 10 times by now and I just never tire of going through it. I do like the leadin for GoW 3, but I wonder where they will take the franchise.Knightt wrote:I finished Gears of War 2 tonight... on accident. I just started up the game to play for about 20 minutes before hittin' the sack. 30 minutes later, I was watching the credits roll. Good thing I let the credits go out all the way, nice lead in to Gears of War 3 !!!
Currently I've been playing Resident Evil 5 a lot... I think I've beat it around 6 times, but I just love unlocking new infinite ammo and it's just such a fun game. I'm also thinking about going back to Mass Effect. The fact that they let you carry over your previous game in 2 makes it a very appealing game to play. Something I definitely think more RPGs should pick up on.

Do you remember what would not be unlocked ?
I repurchased Gears of War a while back (before GW2 shipped to get me back in the swing of things for the game, kinda of like 'practice') and I only got through three levels because it was just not 'new' to me. I would REALLY like to go back through and find all the Cogs (dogtags)... it is that 'never leave a fallen comrade behind' thing in me, making me want to complete that.
