Shadowman #16 GLOW ending today!

Post by Brother J »

I currently have four eBay auctions going on, two Valiant related. The books being auctioned are:

Shadowman Vol. 2 #16 GLOW in the dark and Retailer Review (the Glow in the dark rarely turns up on eBay, a chance to land a rare Acclaim book) $9.99

5 of the painted cover Acclaim first issues, Bloodshot, Magnus, Quantum and Woody, Shadowman, and X-O Manowar $9.99

Check out my auctions here:

thanks for looking!

Just an innocent question:
How come you don't offer your auctions outside the USA? Canada in particular?

How come alot of American sellers do this? I was never clear on the reasoning.

It's because I like to mention the exact amount that I'm going to charge for shipping in the listing and I really only have an idea of what shipping costs here in the USA. The USPS web site is pretty good for figuring out domestic rates, but I kind of get confused when I try to find what the prices are for international. It also doesn't help that I don't have a scale to measure the weight of packages so I usuallly end up guessing what the weight is. I've sold to Canadian buyers before, but I've found I usually end up underestimating the postage and paying for part of it out of my pocket. If there is a book you want to bid on that I have listed, you can place a bid and I should be able to get a price for shipping to you if you're the winner. I hope this helps.

I just recently shipped 8 comics by priority mail to Canada the other day. It usually cost me around $5-6 to ship anywhere in the US but it ended up costing me $11 to do Canada. Worst yet, since this was my first attempt out of the states I only charged $5. The other $6 came out of my pocket and the auction was only for $15 worth of merchandise

Just a couple hours until my two Acclaim auctions are over, so I thought I'd bump this one up. Thanks for taking a look!

It looks like it ended at $52.55.

Which is surprising for me since I found the glow-in-the-dark covered issue in a dollar bin at the San Diego convention last year. And found that Retailer Review of #16 for $3 at a comic shop not too far from me just a few months ago.

Those are some nice finds. The Glow has to be one of the toughest Acclaim books to find as you don't see them on eBay that often.

First one I have seen in over a year.

Well, now that I am clearing out the VH1s I might as well clear out some VH2s and 3's. I have a Shadowman 16 with the glow in the dark cover. I'll take PMs on it until the same time the VH1 lot ends. Highest bidder can have it. I may have the retailer preview, I just have to check.
Let me know.
