If you don't need a CGC graded copy, I have a strict NM copy of the CEAR on eBay right now. It's quite a bit less than $600....david_albuq wrote:Next on the list is a NM CEAR. Though I'm not willing to spend $600 for a NM copy quite yet.

Check out the buy/sell/trade area for my post about this book.

went to a local show today, got a few good deals, one of the best was Harbinger #6 with coupon from a .25 box, looks to be NM since it was bagged/boarded. I'm actually mentioning this show more because someone in my area finally decided to start using Wizard guide prices for Valiants. The one that caught my attention was Magnus #0 with card, which she had priced at $45! This lady had 1/2 off the prices marked so the prices weren't too bad, but it was still kind of shocking to see people waking up to Valiants finally. I almost bought it at $22.50, but I had ran out of money, so I passed.

No way, that is ridiculous....what would the bloodshot platinum go for if one popped up on ebay?Valiant OCD wrote:A CEAR 9.8 CGC sold for $1500.00 awhile back! $600.00 might not be a bad price depending on your point of view.david_albuq wrote:Last week I won an eBay auction for a NM copy of the hardcover Solar TPB. It was hardly a steal. The freakin' shipping was 1/2 the cost of the thing, since the owner lived in the Netherlands of all places.![]()
Oh well, I've been jonesn' to get that puppy for quite some time. I'm not one to wait too long for something that I've waited years to buy.
Next on the list is a NM CEAR. Though I'm not willing to spend $600 for a NM copy quite yet.

If it's $10, it might as well be a DONATION...then you can write it off.
No one cares, apparently.

Ok, I paid $5 a short box for the CRAP...
and $30 for the X-Men box.
$110 total.
Not bad for stuff that 'Guides' for about $1500.

I went to the Big Apple Con this weekend and here are some of the books I picked up at 50 cents each. Nothing too crazy but stuff that I need to help fill holes.
Eternal Warrior: 29, 30, 32, 33, 39, 44
X-O Manowar: 13
X-O Manowar vol 2: 3-5,8
Solar Man of the Atom: 14, 60
Harbinger: 36
Bloodshot vol 2: 2
some non valiant buys from once again, the 50 cent bins:
Rare Bit Friends 1
1963:Tales from Beyond
zot! 33
Runaways vol 1:1-3, 9, 15-16, 18 (yes i just jumped on the bandwagon!)
Uncanny X-Men: 421-422
Tales of the Beanworld: 18
The Jam Special: 1
The Jam urband Adventure: 2-13
Concrete-killer Smile: 1-3
Concrete-strange armor: 1-5
Concrete-Eclectica:1
Then I picked up the Epicurus the Sage tradepaperback
I also got the some books signed by Jim Lee, Erik Larsen and even got my copy of the Bloodshot Yearbook 1 signed by Michael Bair.
good times. did anyone else make the con?

I pretty much have gone to every single Big Apple Con since last September. So far I have only met CKB. Maybe we should all meet up at the next con.

Yeah I have been to every Big Apple Con for the last two years. I even made the one in the snow storm back in January! Unfortuantely I'll have to sit out the June 17th-18th show as I'll be on tour with my band! But I'll definitely be going to the National in September.
I've met CKB before and was able to get some great looking books from him. I'd love to meet up with you or any other forum members that attend this show in the future.

I can't believe that Tales of the Beanworld is an actual series that people know about. I found issue 1 in a huge group of comics I bought and I thought it was the most obscure thing I'd ever seen!Redtrax wrote:Beanworld is great, what is Marden up to nowadays?mike rok lok wrote:

Beanworld did get critical acclaim back when it was published in the 80's, I think.mrwoogieman wrote:I can't believe that Tales of the Beanworld is an actual series that people know about.
