Greg's waiting until he can track down a copy of each of the price variants before he adds them!
Just kidding, of course. From what I recall from the previous thread about these newly discovered books, I thought Greg had mentioned that the Harbinger 2nd print and the price variant issues would be added to the checklist, but not the "Glossy" Rai #0 or the newsstand edition books with no price differences.
I personally would love to find out what Valiants had newsstand editions myself, because that sounds like a very challenging collection to attempt and it gives me something Valiant to collect other than VH2/Acclaim books.

Except for the Rai #0 "Glossy"... all of them have been added to the price guide.
I also added Valiant Free View #1 Second Print...
and... in the Dell pre-Valiant category...
Turok Son of Stone #7 - 15cent variant
I'm looking into what it will mean to add the Valiant books to the inventory list...
It might cause a lot of work for everyone already in the database
unless I can figure out an easy way for everyone to get an "updated list".

Maybe I should not mention it as I don't have them yet, but there are at least two Gold Key Magnuses with price variant. How about the Whitman copies with same price tag. Does that fall into the same logic as the Valiant newsstand copies?greg wrote:Turok Son of Stone #7 - 15cent variant
Maybe add them last. If you don't want to see the comics out of order you can have a second sheet with the same information in the right order. Just make sure noone starts entering data in the second sheet.I'm looking into what it will mean to add the Valiant books to the inventory list...
Alternatively, supply a sheet that helps people convert. One that has the new comics inserted and the old ones are referenced from people's current sheets. Then everyone can copy and paste-special from that, making sure to copy data and not references.
Actually, in my local copy of the inventory sheet I have added new column with the comic titles, so I can directly see if something's been added. Just felt like the kind of thing one has to expect.
In short, don't worry about us. Do what you feel makes the data base work best.

Hook us up Knight_333. I've been toying with the idea to start collecting price variants Valiants (say that 10 times fast) as well as premiums. Since my pre-unity collection is completed, I need something else to collect

You can always send a few my way. You still have my address right?Knightt_333 wrote:Dude, I seem to be the Newsstand edition magnet for North America. I have a lot of them. I guess I could start a list. I have since replaced most of my Newsstand editions with Direct editions, so I have quite a few lying around.Brother J wrote:Greg's waiting until he can track down a copy of each of the price variants before he adds them!![]()
