Iron Man: Enter the Mandarin and Iron Man: Hypervelocity were both pretty terrible reads. The kind of book where you can't wait to be DONE with it.
Blech
Read some Crossgen.

Yeah. I could not have afforded the books off the shelf. I like the price I get them at now.

I just finished reading the last few Punisher Max issues, as well as the Punisher X-Mas issue (I am a litte behind). I surprised to find the the X-Mas issue was written by one of my favorite writers Jason Aaron. Half way through the book I thought, "this is a really good story" and checked to see who was writing and it was Jason Aaron. I love when I am surpised.

I agree thoroughly that last year's Punisher Christmas story was a really good story.caxiotis wrote:I just finished reading the last few Punisher Max issues, as well as the Punisher X-Mas issue (I am a litte behind). I can refute.
Meridian and Scion ended. Their story arc ended cleanly. Sojourn not as much.
Now the entire run did not end, as Negation War was going to be the Crossgen "Unity" but they did not finish it. There is only 2 Neg. War books.

Now, quality is a whole 'nother story![]()
One of my favorite books, J.M. DeMatteis' Man-Thing vol. III, never ended.
I agree, I was real bummed at the end of Sojourn. But the story is great.
But you know..... that is one of the things about DUs...... they always leave you wanting more.

Did you continue to collect the Punisher MAX series after Ennis left? I dropped it after his last issue.caxiotis wrote:I just finished reading the last few Punisher Max issues, as well as the Punisher X-Mas issue (I am a litte behind). Yeah I have. The writing is not as good, but I am still really enjoying it.Brother J wrote:Did you continue to collect the Punisher MAX series after Ennis left? Just checked out the first TPB of 100 Bullets. Interesting. Also read the first chapter of DMZ. Looks like it could be good, too. Next up, I'm going to read Marvel 1602. I think these might be my next books. Ex Machina is on the list, if I can find it. And yes, I'm being bad...going to the store and just READING the books at B&N or Borders. Yep, I'm cheap (not to mention broke right now).

It looks good and there's been very little Gaiman I have not enjoyed.Elveen wrote:I liked 1602.xodacia81 wrote:Just checked out the first TPB of 100 Bullets. Interesting. Immortal Iron Fist 21 --- nice cover, avg. interior art, filler story
the Iron Fist of 3099 fights and decapitates humanoid-looking robots with his bare hands. The concept seems vaguely familiar......
At the end, IF's essence is transformed into a giant robot to save the remaining descendants of China....

Eiether way, it looked like a skirt-some say tunic-and...well..yeah, but for the life of me I don't know what the title was, either...hulk181man wrote:Immortal Iron Fist 21 --- nice cover, avg. interior art, filler story

I am going to red the end of Sigil. (the last 14 or so books that I have not read yet)
I am on a BIG Crossgen kick right now.

I'm suprised at how good the Punisher has been without Ennis. The first arc was good and the second is off to a good start. Also the covers have been great, I was worried with Bradstreet leaving but Johnson has knocked them out so far.caxiotis wrote:Yeah I have.
