You can always download a few Wii virtual console games. They usually run about 5 to 10 bucks (Wii points). You might want to check 'em out and see if there is anything that interests you.

Here's a list of the virtual console games currently available.
I'd need to own a Wii, first. I have access to a Wii, but it isn't my own. It just has goten prohibitively expensive for me to continue with games for now. And thus a "fun" chapter is put on hold. Retrogaming only for the foreseeable future.

Mario Kart 64 was incredible!

Fond memories of jumping off rainbow road hundreds of times hoping to catch that shortcut.

My brothers were crazy about that game. They would get together two or three times a week and play against each other for hours on end.

Same here. Every Friday my friends would come over and we'd play this and Goldeneye from 10-4am!

With breaks for Magic the Gathering ... ahhh gotta love those geeky days!

Goldeneye was another excellent game. After I beat the game on the normal setting I went back and played it on the 007 setting...man was that a difficult task.

That was my dorm room beer drinking game back in college. We would play until the wee hours of the morning.

After that came Halo LAN parties on Friday and the bar's on Saturday for about two years straight. There was a lot of beer drinking and trash talking from room to room, I think my roommates were *SQUEE* that I would pack up my big TV and my Xbox every Friday night and cart it over there but it got them out of the house on Friday nights. I don't know how I carried that huge TV back into my house on Friday nights and managed to hook up the cables half drunk but I never failed to get it done.

Rocket Jockey! It's an old game, kind of obscure, with crappy graphics, but it's so fun! It's a 1930's alternate universe type of look and design. You're an aviator, but instead of flying a plane, you fly a rocket. You straddle a real rocket and use grappling hooks to steer. There are 3 game modes - Rocket Ball which is kind of like soccer. You are in an arena and use your grappling hooks to grab balls and throw them into a net. Rocket War where you try to yank the other rider off his rocket and pull his rocket apart with your grappling hooks. And Rocket Race, which I don't care for. It's just a race through an obstacle course.

Here's a screenshot of Rocket Ball:

Just started playing Red Steel. Basically just a shoot'em up game with some swordplay mixed in. Couldn't pass it up for 10 bucks.

Wow, that is a good price. I just bought my daughter a 22 inch flat panel for Christmas and it was over $300.

I beat Conan tonight on Medium difficulty. The fight with Graven really had me annoyed at the repetition. But, overall I really enjoyed the game. I'm going to give it a break for a while and play something else, but I'm sure I'll go back to it eventually to beat it on Hard and get some of the Achievements I missed the first time around.

I think that I am just about finished with it, not sure... but man, some of those achievements are just plain silly. Simply performing certain moves 50 to 100 times. :!:

I DO love playing a CONAN game though... and finding the nekkid maidens on each level (sometimes there were 2-3) was always a nice reward... "(gasp) OH !! What happened to my clothes ? (giggle)" Getcha hot everytime fellas. :thumb:

The nekkid chicks are pretty funny. I chuckled every time I rescued one.

I've got the Conan game for the PS3 and I love it. It's got great cutscenes, and a fun story.

My gripes though are:
A) the game goes from manageable or easy to exponentially impossible with that last "tar" boss demon guy with the tentacles at the end.
B) the in-game acheivements will probably never be trophy patched to the PS Network and that sucks.

Yeah that tropy thing just does not compare to the Achievements with the X-Box 360 (IMO). Still is nice to hear them when they pop up. I just got one last night with Resistance 2 (Up close and personal).
