I dunno... I have felt the dread when some of these guys talk about the cursed "Horde Of Completion..."xodacia81 wrote:No price is worth the misery of Turok # 1.slym2none wrote:A lot of 20 Turok #1 (Chromium!) for only $4.99.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Pssst - those guys are having the big Liefeld-fed bonfire... Turok chromium would flash prettily in the flames. (Just don't inhale the fumes, so I am told.)superman-prime wrote:I would never sent turok 1 to anyone

That's a good deal woog. Have you been to New Dimension Comics in Ellwood City Pa? I thought you had. Anyway, Todd, the owner, found one of those counter dumps still sealed and post marked to his store and sold it to me. I opened it to see what was inside, but it's in the same condition as the one you scored. Cool item.mrwoogieman wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0112794390

I picked up a box of Supermans that had about 40 silver age issues of Superman & Action Comics for £50.00.
The average issues are from the 80' but are all high grade copies, which is nice as most get battered in 25/50p boxes.
The 40odd nicer bits range from the last 10c issue to the 233 all new Superman and some 70's issues too.
My friend who has a store no longer sells backissues and so he passed most collections on to me and this was pretty cool.
I doubt i will make a huge amount, but nice to pass through my hands and enjoy them for a few weeks.
Ill add some pics tomorrow of the few 100pg and such.

That's cool! Yes, I've been to ND a bunch of times. My bro and his family live in Ellport down the street from the shop.

Well, my absolute best deal was the one that got me back into Valiant. A run of X-O from issue 20 to 43, Ninjak 1-9, and Shadowman from 17 to 42 for FREE!
What was kind of cool was that I was still sorting those and some comics Elveen sent me when I found these among the original box of Valiants I obtained:
Ninjak Postcard

Shadowman Postcard

Sure, not expensive or rare, but cool for a noob like me (and gave me the opporyunity to play with Photobucket more)
