KC Comic Con adventure
I just got back from the KC Comic Con today...
The first booth I went to I ended up buying Rai #1, #2, #6, #7 & 2 Magnus #7's for $1.00 apiece. I thought this was a good sign, & then I went on to the next booth. The guy had several #1's up on his booth wall of X-O & Rai. I asked how much they were, & he said $20.00 apiece. I showed him my Rai #1 & #2 & said that I just bought these for $2.00 at the booth next to him. He did'nt have too much to say after that.
I checked out some other booths, & did'nt find much else. One guy said he left his Valiant boxes at home, but he would bring them to the June show.
I did have a couple of young punks laugh at me when I asked if they had any Valiant issues. I about told him to check out the eBay prices for some of the CGC Pre-Unity issues, but decided not to waiste time.
Anyways, to sum up the experience.... there are some sellers that are starting to catch onto the Valiant craze, & then there are others that are just completely clueless.
(Lorenzo Lamas was there, too. The guy looks like a crack head now.)
Boda
