This is definitely interesting news. If Thaddeo does get ahold of the Valiant character rights, I hope he stays close with the early VH-1 style. If he does succeed, wonder how much impact it will have on the value of the Pre-Unity issues.

Lets hope he does this right.

I don't want to see all the VH1 and VH2 junk published.

AND I don't want OVER PRICED artists and wrighters that are going to put the new company in any financial stress.

Lets hope he takes it SLOW, rebuild the universe the right way, get good un-knows to draw and wright the books.

AND ABOVE ALL ELSE, GET SHOOTER AS EDITOR/WRIGHTER !!!!

Channeling Gary Coleman on the weekends can be dangerous.

And this is kind of weird, but I can never open half the newsarama stories on my PC. It's like the link ain't even there, even in the message above.

Everything works fine on my Mac, which is strange since it gets perplexed more often than the PC with most sites.

I would love to start readiing this stuff again. I almost picked up Armor this week since it has a passing resemblance to X-O.

So here's a question, if Taddeo does go through with this and gets the rights to all the characters from both universes (VH1 and VH2), and starts back up XO and EW and Ninjak and the rest (drooling at the prospect, espcially with Sears and Layton on board), any idea where Quantum and Woody would fit in? Being that it was the only title from VH2 that was really worth anything. Plus what would Valiant be w/out Magnus and Solar? The rights for them are still owned by another company right?

Wow. I'd love to see this work out - and to see how Taddeo could make this work. Maybe if he does get unknowns to write and draw, he'd start recruiting here?

I think all of us would like to see this done the right way and I hope all the things pointed out in your post are taken into consideration by the possible new owner. No one wants to see a repeat of the Acclaim disaster. The Valiant Universe deserves far better than that

John, if you get the rights, please get Priest and Bright to do Q & W again. I'm looking forward to checking out your Assasination line. Sears + Layton, huh, nice job on getting them.

it would be great to find out that bob had maybe put the bug in this guy's ear to buy it up-you know, that he told him about this site, and how great we all are and stuff-that there is still a solid fan base. I'm sure that whatever they did-90% of us would check it out. if SOMEHOW somebody could convince layton, shooter, bws, jj lapham, perllin and the van hook's to go for it all over again-because it was the absolute best any of them ever did (while bws may not believe that...) that would be SO fantastic.

i know that it's not really realistic-but the Eagles got back together didn't they?
i think lapham and bws would be the hardest to get back on board at this point. i think that bob and jim could work things out. seriously. i think as long as massarsky stays away it would work.

am i nuts?

We can only hope that John is the high bidder. If he has Bob and Bart on board I can only imaging what will happen!!

I asked Bart on his boards about Zoom Suit and he said he is only doing covers for it. I also posted about John getting the rights to the Valiant characters and asked him if he would be working on X-O or Turok again if it goes through. I have not received a reply to that one yet...

So, a VALIANT Universe built around Magnus didn't last, and an Acclaim Universe based around X-O Manowar didn't work out.

Maybe this new universe will be based around the Bad Eggs and this time it'll stick
