I have no problem with anyone supporting their LCS if they want to. Heck, if I liked my LCS, I might get them to order one for me, but I don't go there anymore, period.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

They will be the ones carrying you new comics come December? Right?

Please do, it would certainly help the Valiant cause and you are likely to get a better price!jedimarley wrote:Wouldn't it be better to support my LCS by buying this instead of Amazon.com?
Not sure what this is referring to. A thread I missed?jedimarley wrote: They will be the ones carrying you new comics come December? Right?

That's exactly how I feel... I know I'm going to pay more at my LCS, but they are so great that I really don't mind.xodacia81 wrote:My sentimentsjedimarley wrote:Wouldn't it be better to support my LCS by buying this instead of Amazon.com?

Then they should have a EIC by years end.

It's been my suspicion they either have one already in place and OR can't officially announce them, regardless of whether they are currently working as EIC at VEI right now. My suspicion is, someone is at the end of a contract somewhere and they have contacted them and gotten an agreement. Much the way a coach, during the playoffs, will be hired while still an assistant with another team. Nothing can be official until later. But, that's just my guess.jedimarley wrote:Oh. On the VEI website, click on "company" then "team".myron wrote:what makes you think that???xodacia81 wrote:It's been my suspicion they either have one already in place and OR can't officially announce them, regardless of whether they are currently working as EIC at VEI right now. This is listed for Editor-In-Chief. It sounds more like a description of somebody already already on board than a job listing:
TBA, Editor-In-Chief/Head Editor
An experienced editor who has worked for one of the largest comic book publishers in a senior editorial capacity, managed comic book franchises across various publishing lines, has strong relationships with major comic creators, and is passionate about the Valiant characters.

No announcement on the new Editor-In-Chief.jedimarley wrote:So..
No EIC yet?

Support Amazon.com and not your LCS?
Um............
Correct.
No new comics by years end?
I think you are referring to monthly <strike>pamphlets</strike> comics since new comics have been included with each hardcover. In that case, I'm sorry you misunderstood. Read more carefully next time.
Support Amazon.com and not your LCS?
Support whichever outlet you prefer. This thread is to inform those who prefer to purchase their books online (overseas, no access to LCS etc.) that the Amazon.com listing is now live.
Future replies to Jedimarley *SQUEE* stirring?
Not likely.

Dino, I'm surprised. You provided real responses to legitimate questions in such a negative way. You confirmed that the new stories referred to in the past are the stories found in the hardcovers (which I emensly enjoy). This sets realalistic expectations; it's great information.
I believe Jedimarley was only fishing for answers because he enjoys the IP. You could have let him/her (everyone, in fact) know that the new stories to look forward to are the ones from the hardcovers without the “read more carefully next time” comment.
Anyway, I look forward to future announcements for your EIC and any potential new hardovers (Please release more quickly - I love reading these stories, as I foolishly never bought them when they were originally published)
Thanks again, Travis

It sucks that "new comics" cost $24.95 now for like 8 pages. Do you plan to collect these stories at some point and put into a single issue (which is what I consider a "comic")?
